29-Year-Old Prison Nurse Admits Having Affair With Inmate Jailed For M¥rder In UK

A 29-year-old prison nurse in the United Kingdom, Stephanie Adair, has pleaded guilty to misconduct in public office after admitting to having an inappropriate relationship with a convicted k+ller while working at HMP Wandsworth prison in south-west London.

Adair became involved with 28-year-old Jahki Crosdale, who was serving a six-year sentence for st@bbing 19-year-old trainee plumber Charlie Burns to de@th in 2015 over a £150 cann@bis debt.

The relationship reportedly lasted from September 1, 2023, to November 2, 2024, and was uncovered after Crosdale listed Adair’s address in his court documents.

The charge stated that Adair engaged in an inappropriate personal relationship with the inmate and maintained contact with him through his illicit mobile phone while working as a prison nurse.

Crosdale also admitted transmitting images or sound from inside HMP Wandsworth and HMP Lowdham Grange without authorisation between February and October 2024.

Adair appeared before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court, where Judge Georgina Kent directed her to cooperate with the preparation of a pre-sentence report ahead of sentencing on February 9, 2027.

Following an investigation into her conduct, the Nursing and Midwifery Council temporarily barred Adair from working in prisons. However, she remains listed as a practice nurse at Trevelyan House GP surgery in Tooting, south-west London.
