Exactly one year ago today, more than $19 billion in leveraged crypto positions were liquidated in a single day, the largest derivatives wipeout on record.

$BTC had just set an all-time high near $126,200 on October 6, 2025, only to crash into the low $106,000s (and lower on some venues) after a tariff shock.

At the same time, roughly 1.62 million accounts were liquidated, with longs accounting for about 87% of the total.

Today, Bitcoin trades around $83,000, still roughly 34% below that October 2025 peak.

The scars of the 10/10 liquidation event remain visible one year later.
