Whist I'm not a particular aficionado of Welsh male voice choirs, it pleases me to see the Sky Arts three parter 'Voices of the Valleys' getting a second screening.
This is simply because what are generally and lazily presumed to be 'niche' genres, those that exist beyond the reach of the limelight, can, when approached with a modicum of thought and creativity have a wide ranging appeal to non-specialist viewers.
If they can do it with choirs I'll bet they could do it with what we do too. #jazz #bigbandjazz
Tonight it's Episode 2 of Voices of the Valleys at 8pm on Sky Arts.
