🚨 This morning, the FBI and our partners arrested a subject near Los Angeles for allegedly paying homeless individuals on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles to sign petitions in support of ballot initiatives—all using stolen identities of registered voters.

Two additional petition circulators have also been charged in the investigation. All three subjects are charged with conspiracy to commit identity fraud in furtherance of a state felony, among other charges.

Securing American elections from criminal interference is of the utmost importance to this FBI.

Private equity and corporations now own the majority of vet practices in most metro areas. Vet prices are up about 60% since 2016, roughly double the rate of everything else you buy

Here's how a corporate clinic makes money on your dog:

The exam is $89 now. Bloodwork is "recommended" for every visit. The dental cleaning that used to be $300 is $1,200 with anesthesia monitoring. There's a checklist. The vet is paid on production. She's a good person who went to school for 8 years to help animals and now has a quota

And when the bill hits $2,400 and you start crying, the front desk slides a brochure across the counter

The 0% on the vet's counter and the 0% on a business credit card are two completely different products with the same two characters. One is a loan where the interest is hiding. The other is a loan where the interest is actually zero and the bank makes its money elsewhere. Almost nobody knows the difference and the brochure is designed to keep it that way

What to do when the dog is sick and the number is huge:

Ask for the itemized estimate. Ask which items are required versus recommended. Ask if there's an independent vet in the area. There's usually one 20 minutes away charging 40% less because nobody in Virginia is taking a cut

If you have to finance it, a real 0% card with no deferred interest clause beats CareCredit every single time. Same 12 months. No trap on day 366

A candy company bought the animal hospital, raised the price, and then lent you the money to pay it at 30%. That's the whole loop

🚨BREAKING NEWS IN BROMLEY UK⚔️

Four men stabbed on Bromley High Street this afternoon. One critical. Seven arrested. Air ambulance, fire brigade, an advanced paramedic, the road shut from Ringers Road to Ethelbert Road.

Eyewitnesses described a machete gang running down the high street at quarter past two on a Thursday.

The Met's statement adds that there is no wider threat to the public.

Seven men. Machetes. A shopping street. In daylight.

No wider threat.

Now, the descriptions.

There are none. Seven men in custody and the public has been given precisely nothing to work with, so I am going to have to speculate, which I will do responsibly and with an open mind.

Was it the Scots? Historically the most credible candidate. Long tradition of edged weapons, documented grievances going back to 1296, and a well-established habit of coming south in numbers. Motive, means, and centuries of practice.

The Irish? Also plausible. Considerable back catalogue. Though one notes the modern Irish have generally preferred devices with timers, which suggests a change in methodology that would require explanation.

Vikings? Bromley is only twelve miles from the Thames, and they have form. If they have resumed operations, Britain has bigger problems than a high street.

The Cornish? Watch them. Nobody ever watches them.

Leprechauns? I raise it only because the description released by the authorities fits. Small, fast, notoriously difficult to detain, and if seven are currently in custody, somebody in that station is about to be offered a deal involving gold.

I cannot rule any of it out, because nothing has been ruled in.

Seven men had them on a high street this afternoon anyway.

Which tells you what a ban is worth against people who were never going to read it, and why a country that arrests thirty-three people a day over things they typed still cannot keep blades off Bromley High Street.

The four men in hospital would have preferred the enforcement went the other way round.

🚨#BREAKING: Outrage is erupting in Florida after a 19-year-old whose speeding Mustang K*LLED two elderly people last year...

...was just caught doing 120 to 130 MPH, running stop signs, and turning off his headlights to escape cops...

...ON A SUSPENDED LICENSE.

AND HE IS STILL WALKING FREE.

His name is Denis Maldonado-Reyes, he's 19 years old, in Apopka, Florida.

Back in November, troopers say he was driving 90 miles per hour in a 45 zone. Double the limit.

His Ford Mustang plowed into the side of a LYNX transit van as it turned.

Two people inside that van were k*lled.

Jerry Earl, 81 years old.
Aida Maldonado, 94 years old.

He tried to blame the VAN.

Nearly a YEAR later, that fatal case still hasn't been resolved.

He pleaded not guilty and he's been walking free the entire time.

And what did he do with that freedom?

Late last month, a deputy saw his Mustang blow through a four-way stop. Pass a car over a double yellow line. Then TURN OFF HIS HEADLIGHTS in the dark to try to disappear.

The chase hit 130mph.

And he was doing it all on a SUSPENDED LICENSE.

Suspended because he never paid a ticket for illegally blowing past a stopped SCHOOL BUS.

WHY IS HE WALKING FREE?????????

A letter to our Senators and Representatives.

Gentlemen,
I am a 64-year-old American that has worked and paid taxes since I was fifteen years old. I have never taken any type of handout from anyone, including the US government. After 49 years of working, I have decided to retire, at least partially. According to you, it’s “early  retirement”.  I don’t consider 49 years of working, “early”. Had I been a government employee I could have retired 29 years ago, or had I been a senator, I could have retired, what… 39 years ago? with full retirement pay and free healthcare for life.
Because I retired before reaching my “full retirement age”; which is decided by you, I have a reduced Social Security payment, which you refer to as a “benefit”. I see it as a return of my money that I have paid in for 49 years. This reduced payment is not enough to live on. The payment at full retirement age is not enough to live on. I have to work some, to supplement my income, but low and behold I can only earn a certain amount (which is still not enough to live on) and then you start docking my Social Security.
Apparently, I earned too much at some point because I just received a letter from the SSA stating that my next three SSA payments will be cut in half, and the real kicker is I still “owe” $38.00. I can’t work more to make up the difference because I will only be further penalized.
It is extremely infuriating, as an American citizen, to be treated this way. Look at the amount of fraud, look at the number of people, many of whom have never paid a dime into the system, receiving free benefits from the government. Look at the billions paid to and on behalf of illegal immigrants. All I want is the money I paid in and a chance to retire in peace.

OK. So I'm getting lots of pushback about my concerns regarding J.D. Vance's proposal to pay working moms to stay home. In general, I would love for every mom to be home. Here are my issues with this program:

1) Does this continue until the kid turns 18? What if the mom wants to stay home and homeschool? It would need to continue that long, right?

2) Is this $9K per child? You saw what LBJ's idea did... encouraged many women esp. in low income communities to have babies for the sole intent of increasing their welfare check. I want more babies, too, but I want us to foster makers not takers.

3) I understand that it's not a new tax. But the original program was created to fund childcare facilities. You saw what happened... runaway fraud in the learing centers! Do you think that this will decrease fraud? People are creative, and they will figure out a way to game the system. No question. If the government wants to help the economy and increase wealth, get rid of the tax period and refund it to the people, all people.

4) Is this a function of government? Not in my opinion. It is socialism, straight up. So in general I oppose programs that redistribute wealth, but I do see this as a way to help families. I just don't see it as the best way.

5) If they enact it, it needs to encourage the family unit... mom, dad, kids. I don't see it doing that. Divorce and the death of one parent are inevitable. It is not an incentive to grow familes.

6) Wasn't the child tax credit on our federal income tax supposed to be the answer to the cost of raising kids? That has morphed into a given, no longer considered a benefit. And so it will be with any amount of money that is given to the people from the taxpayers. It will merely prolong the need to collect more taxes, and it will grow as the population grows.

That's it. If I think of anything else, I'll post below. And mind you, I have great empathy and admiration for every woman who chooses to stay at home and raise children. I won't freak out if this is passed, but my preference would be to stop the wealth redistribution and refund the tax to everyone.

🚨THIS IS INSANE!!!

A daughter drove HUNDREDS of miles to check on her sick 75-year-old father... only to find the locks changed and a Ring camera on his door.

When she climbed through a window to reach her own dad, SHE got arrested for trespassing.

Then she was told, THROUGH THE DOORBELL, that he was no longer alive and that the NURSE who "took care of him" actually now OWNED HER DAD'S HOUSE.

This happened in Conway, South Carolina, and it will make your blood boil.

Her name is Nora Rowland.

Her dad was Robert Rowland, 75 years old and a vulnerable man living with Parkinson's and a brain injury.

Nora and her father were incredibly close. A "daddy's girl," she said. They FaceTimed every single week.

Then, in early 2024, a nurse named Sarah Smalls started caring for Robert through a home care company.

And that's when Nora says her dad started to disappear.

The weekly calls slowed. Then stopped. Something was wrong.

So on Father's Day, when she didn't hear from him, she got in her car and drove from Baltimore all the way to South Carolina to check on the man she loved.

When she got there, his front door had been replaced. A Ring camera was watching her. She couldn't get into her own father's home.

So she climbed through a window. And police arrested her and her partner for TRESPASSING... at her own dad's house.

And then, over that Ring doorbell, she was told her father had died.

Nora says that in the weeks before her father died, that nurse had the DEED to his house signed over to herself.

...and the family wasn't told until he was already gone.

To be clear... man with Parkinson's and a BRAIN INJURY, who was classified as a vulnerable adult was allowed to SIGN HIS HOME AWAY.

In Nora's own words: "He would never think that someone could do this to him. I really can't emphasize enough how many other people could easily get taken advantage of like this."

Her trespassing charges were dismissed, s now she's fighting in court to get her father's house back.

The nurse refused to comment. The care company claimed they knew nothing, but Nora says she has subpoenaed documents proving otherwise.

Police are still investigating.

Yesterday President Trump declared that communities resisting data centers apparently want to be “backwards and poor.”
No.
People who don't want their farmland industrialized, their power bills increased, and their water resources put at risk aren't backwards.
They are protecting their communities.
Virginia has been the data-center experiment.
Before we volunteer the rest of rural America for it, perhaps we should find out what that experiment has actually cost.

I have a sad and genuinely infuriating story...

A little donkey named HeeHaw was sh0t and k*lled... by police... in the middle of the night... on his own family's farm.

His "crime"? He ran up to the officers braying, being a friendly donkey.

This happened in Polk County, Georgia, around 12:45 in the morning.

According to the family that owns Elsberry Riding and Farm, officers came onto their property, into the pasture, searching for a missing person. The family says they did it without permission.

And there was HeeHaw. A small, curious donkey doing what donkeys do. The family says he ran up to the officers braying to greet them.

The family says the officers tried to TASE him first and then one of them sh0t him, and he passed away.

A small donkey trotting up braying is not a threat.

You do not need a taser, and you SURE AS HELL don't need a bullet, for a friendly farm animal, any Southern person knows that.

To their credit, the department is not sweeping it away.

The Cedartown Police Chief launched an investigation and put the officer who fired on administrative leave. GOOD.

And the Sheriff's Office, which wasn't even involved, took the time to send condolences to the family.

HeeHaw wasn't a threat. He was a pet. And he trusted people right up until the end.
