playing Soldier and Demo and destroying an enemy building from afar and flying across the map, and even playing Spy, backstabbing an enemy gamer and BARELY making out alive feels like a kind of rush I need every once in a while.
I could honestly recommend the game and convince more of my friends to play the game...without the bots. It's as simple as that. Get a better anti-cheat system, find a solution for this, and hear your fans out for once.
Valve. Do Better.
I feel like a huge helping hand. Playing Sniper and denying a strong team member from catching my teammate, playing Heavy and mowing down enemies to protect a cart or control point,
When I play Scout or Pyro and I can coordinate a push and double team a strong attack towards a control point, I feel like we really had each other's backs. When I play Medic and just barely keep my teammates alive with a crossbow shot from across the map,
Whenever I play Engie and build teleporters in spots that keep the battle going and dispensers that potentially save my teammates' lives, I feel like a powerful team member.
I've had winning games where we all pushed so god damn hard to the end and despite the odds being against us it feels so invigorating to push towards and objective and actually accomplish something with your team. Using your strengths to counter your allies weaknesses.
but somehow they managed to hold that cart in place for 7 minutes straight and won the game.
Despite the fact I was on the losing team, I wasn't angry at all. I was honestly just impressed that their team could coordinate THAT hard.
and their Spy somehow miraculously managed to pick off anyone who got close and escape. We tried everything we could, lobbing explosives towards the Heavy, going around the back to widdle their defenses, building our own ubercharge to push forward just ever so slightly,
their Heavy poked out from below to stop us from pushing with their Medic healing him building constant ubercharge. The Engies, Soldier and Sniper were propped at the top ready to ambush whoever dared step foot inside their sightlines to push that cart,
However, the Red team, in the most shocking display of team work I've ever seen, all coordinated their push to make DAMN sure the cart wasn't moving an inch. They had their Scout and Demo coming out to stop our approach,
I remember playing a payload game on Swiftwater recently. I was on Blu and the cart was almost at the end, I'm talking an inch away and we had 7 minutes left on the clock. Just one player needed to be there for a millisecond and Blu would win the game.
