I'd love to do something with "Webfiction World", but I don't have the time. I'm willing to part with the URL and Twitter handle to anyone/anyones that could make a Webfiction World podcast again.
I’m cropping these for privacy reasons/because I’m not trying to call out any one individual. These are all Lensa portraits where the mangled remains of an artist’s signature is still visible. That’s the remains of the signature of one of the multiple artists it stole from.
A 🧵
@KurtSasso@ravenfell@ScreenTonesCast I always used to call The Webcomic Beacon the "Biggest, Oldest Continually-Running, General Webcomics Podcast" to technically beat out other podcasts about webcomics :P
I've not kept up with webcomics, and my bookmarks have been getting smaller and smaller as many end or go on Indefinite Hiatus.
Though I've been finding Webcomics on Tumblr and Webtoon and Tapas.
I kinda wanna get back into the comic reviews again... thinking about vtube style
@KurtSasso@ravenfell@ScreenTonesCast I was thinking about trying to make some sort of comeback, but I feel I'm too out of touch. Seems we've gone into a "Webcomics 3.0" now with the greater proliferation of webcomic presenting apps.
@Sagesaga Yeah, seems like we've hit "Webcomics 3.0" with the app-based sites, and Patreon based stuff for "higher end" cartoonists. I feared a loss of peer communities.
Thinking about how to get the old podcast up again... without the main website and the vision I once had for it. For archival purposes. No time to maintain a WordPress site. Thinking about converting to YouTube videos (static image for video)
@Sagesaga I hear all of that! We've been out of the loop for years, and considering dipping toes back in. Are there any webcomic forums/creator communities still active, do you know?
@tonywolfness Not really? It might be tied to the Facebook and Tumblr for auto retweets, but I've not done anything with the show/website to use this. but I'll sometimes retweet. @FesWorks isn't really active on twitter, but will usually reply here and there.
