Content modeling in Webiny 6.5 got a redesign. 🎨

• Drag a field type onto the canvas, and drop zones show where it will land
• Every field card shows its type and renderer at a glance
• Switch to Preview to see the exact form your editors will get

Same models, a much nicer place to build them.

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

Press ⌘K (or Ctrl+K) anywhere in the Webiny admin. ⚡

New in 6.5: a command palette with fuzzy search over every page. Type a few letters, hit Enter, and you're there. No mouse needed.

And of course, it's extensible too. Your project can register its own commands, each with its own keyboard shortcut. 🤓

Crop an image once, and every layout keeps the subject in frame. 🎯

New in Webiny 6.5: an Asset field with crop and focal point built in. Drag the focal point onto what matters, and the square, landscape and widescreen crops all follow it.

The original file is never touched. The crop is applied when the image is delivered, so the URL works with any frontend.

Webiny 6.5 is out. 🚀

We wrote up everything that landed — what changed, what's new, and what to know before you upgrade — in the release notes.

Describe the entry. Webiny fills in the form. ✨

New in Webiny 6.5: turn on "Generate with AI" for a content model, and every new entry starts with a prompt instead of an empty form.

It knows your model, so the result fits it. Valid dropdown options, tags, numbers, and real rich text in the body.

Bring your own provider: OpenAI, Anthropic, Google or OpenRouter.

Webiny 6.5.0 is live 🚀

Highlights:
→ AI-powered content generation — generate CMS entry content with AI directly from the editor
→ Comments and notifications — collaborate on entries with field-level comments and a new inbox
→ Asset field with crop and focal point — non-destructive image editing with server-side transforms
→ Timezone-aware scheduling — schedule publish/unpublish in any timezone
→ Command palette — ⌘K / Ctrl+K for fuzzy search and keyboard-driven navigation
→ Google and OpenRouter AI providers — Gemini models, plus many more vendors through one OpenRouter key

As always, full details in the release notes 👇

What’s next? We’re continuing to expand AI capabilities and making content collaboration even smoother. Stay tuned 🚀 #release-post

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

Webiny 6.5.0 is close. The betas have been out for a while and the most of the fixes have settled — we’re planning the stable release for next week. 🚀

If you’ve been holding off on upgrading until there’s a stable tag, that wait is nearly over.

Stay tuned.

Something we're working on for the Webiny admin: a dashboard every user can arrange themselves. 👀

• Drag widgets between columns
• Pick 2, 3 or 4 columns
• Add widgets from a drawer that previews each one

Each user's layout is saved, so it's there the next time they sign in. And your project can add its own widgets right next to ours.

Still a work in progress. More soon.

AWS just shipped Lambda Web Functions — a true HTTP request handler, up to 128 concurrent requests per execution environment, plus multi-region deploy. 👀

Webiny has run serverless on Lambda since day one, so this lands right in our lane: fewer cold starts, steadier response times under load.

We’ll probably be digging into what it means for Webiny deployments. More once we know.

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

The Webiny admin dashboard isn't fixed furniture — you can build your own widgets. 👀

Sales charts, latest products, fulfilment counts, whatever your team stares at every morning. Pull from your own data, drop it on the home screen, let users arrange it how they work best.

The first thing editors see, built by you.

🪧 "We support MCP" is the new "we have an API."

It means nothing until you know what the server exposes and where it runs - one vendor ships CRUD tools, another ships platform knowledge, and they’re not the same purchase.

7 questions to ask any CMS vendor before you sign, now that agents are the ones writing the code.

AI Power-Ups now supports OpenRouter. 🚀

One key, hundreds of models — and you pick one per role: the fast work, the main work, the image work. Cheap model for summarising, Claude for the heavy lifting, whatever reads images best.

Or skip OpenRouter and point straight at your vendor. Dropdown's in the screenshot. 👀

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

AI Power-Ups used to ship with a hardcoded list of models. New model drops, you wait for a Webiny release.

Not anymore. The list now comes from a remote endpoint we maintain, so new models show up in your Model roles dropdown on their own. ⚡

That's the screenshot — fresh models, no upgrade, nothing to configure.

@o_kwasniewski @TesterArmy Will do 🫡

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

We’re experimenting with @TesterArmy’s new e2e tool on the Webiny codebase, and a few things already won us over. 👀

• deterministic where you want certainty, agent steps where you don’t
• cached replays, so runs stay fast
• the agent jumps back in the moment the app shifts ⚡️

Open source too. Early days for us, but it’s definitely a fun one to play with! 🤓 https://t.co/29umTn7kEw

[Webiny Enterprise CMS+ ⚡️ @WebinyCMS]

Follow-up on moving our Vitest suites to Docker: only the e2e tests still need a real OpenSearch cluster. So we switched it off on weekends and downsized it from 2× r5.large to 1× t3.medium.

$277 → $54 a month. About $2,700 a year back. ⚡️

Again, nothing changes in the product — just numbers we thought worth sharing.

Webiny 6.5.0 is in beta. 👀

We've been shipping new beta releases as fixes land, so if you want an early look, you can already pull one into your project and try it.

No firm date yet — we're hoping for a stable release in a week or two. 🤞

For years, “where do I deploy Webiny?” had one answer: your AWS account.

With Standalone in alpha, it has as many answers as your stack allows.
