It’s fascinating to see the difference between the team building philosophy of the Eagles and the Rams over the last decade.
Here are some notable stats since 2016:
- The Eagles have made three Super Bowls and won two. The Rams have made two Super Bowls and won one.
- The Eagles have won 101 games in the regular season and 10 games in the playoffs. The Rams have won 96 games in the regular season and 10 games in the playoffs.
- The Eagles have made 11 picks in the first round of the NFL Draft. The Rams have made three picks in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Hard to wrap my head around this for PHI
A 12-P of Stowers, Goedert, Lemon, Smith includes a lot of good players but it's a pretty awkward fit and is undersized on boundary
Post-Goedert same issue remains. Stowers not a full time inline guy imo
What if Eli Stowers is your X?
If he's JSN, then hats off, they nailed it. Now they *need* S, OL (not just tackle), DL (not just edge), TE and they have 2 less picks to do it.
Stukes would be the dream, but assuming he's gone, any of these would be great in 2-3:
B. Clark, Dennis-Sutton, Delp, Bowry
There are going to be players available in the 4th that could help them. Cooper Jr. and Concepcion likely could've been had at 23, and despite what anyone says they are all comparable rolls of the dice. And Lemon is the worst athlete of the three.
Iheanachor was the pick. They out-thought themselves. Lane's replacement is a far bigger problem to solve than WR2 is, and Iheanachor - while maybe not worth a 1st round grade - would have given them an exceptional shot at solving that problem.
@YaBoyJericho@JonnyPage9 Sure. But think of it in the context of the problem you're solving. You're paying a premium for a better solution to the problem of WR2. Two 4th rd picks for a more premium solution than Cooper Jr or Concepcion to the problem of Wicks not being a good enough 2?
The last time the Cowboys and Eagles made a first-round trade was 2021, when the teams swapped picks. Philly landed DeVonta Smith and Dallas took Micah Parsons.
They swapped again this year, and once again, Philly gets a WR (Makai Lemon) while Dallas lands a pass rusher (Malachi Lawrence).
REMINDER: MAKAI LEMON'S INTERVIEW WENT VIRAL FOR THE WAY HE WAS ACTING.
It will be very interesting to see Lemon’s maturity when he arrives in Philadelphia.
...Blake Miller to the Lions.
Among the players still on the board, with the Eagles 6 picks away: Monroe Freeling, Keldric Faulk, Makai Lemon, Max Iheanachor.
