Example of what we’re forced to live with. The rabid ramblings of Ulster loyalism. It’s incomprehensible that anyone thinks this behaviour is anything short of psychopathic. So much hatred and anger, towards people raising money for paediatric aid.. Embarrassing. Free Palestine🇵🇸
5 men used all their body weight to restraint one black man. As he was faced down, one continuously pressed his knee on his neck until he stopped breathing.
Happened in Dublin, Ireland. They’re under every post laughing and calling it the Irish George Floyd. Rest in Peace Yves Sakila.
So yesterday PCOS was renamed to PMOS. After 11 years and about 22,000 people fighting for it.
If you’re one of the women who was told to just lose weight or come back when you want children, the reason it was renamed is going to make a lot of things make sense.

Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome honestly makes way more sense than Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
Because this condition was never just about “ovarian cysts” or fertility.
Women with PCOS are at higher risk for:
-type 2 diabetes
-heart disease
-fatty liver disease
-sleep apnea
-high blood pressure
Yet so many women are never properly counseled about these risks or referred for appropriate care early enough. As a cardiometabolic physician, I meet women in their 50s and 60s dealing with advanced disease who tell me:
“I wish someone had warned me earlier.”
We minimized PCOS by treating it like a niche reproductive issue instead of the systemic metabolic condition it often is.
wow… after years of being told to “just lose weight” and getting body shamed over symptoms tied to insulin resistance, it feels validating to finally see the condition named in a way that actually reflects how debilitating it can be.
hoping this leads to better research lol 😅
PCOS is being renamed to PMOS. (Polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome)
The change comes from experts that say the old name was misleading, stating that it inaccurately suggested ovarian cysts as a defining feature.
