@rugbyphilosophy Coaching is fine to an extent. It's when its in the red zone or the same players being coached for the same thing over and over again. That's when it diminishes the point of a penalty and undermines the refs authority. Play advantage more if you want to flow the game

@1stFive8 What a dumb comment. Not all head contact requires HIAs. The card and penalty are for the infringement and potential danger...not the injury caused. VDF going for HIA doesn't mitigate Jacobsons actions

@v_freedman @5thOfSanogo @bytopux It's not about intent anymore, since WR provided the clarifications. it's purely about whether the player was in a reasonable position to catch the ball. If they follow all the previous precedents it should have been a yellow. Altho it's stupid law imo

@ChalynRugby I wish crowd attendance was the litmus test. Unfortunately the new player pipeline is drying up with less grass root players sticking with or joining rugby after school. Countries like NZ and RSA will be fine but countries competing with other sports are dying
