I’ve had the opportunity to speak three times in two weeks. Thank you Israel Congregation of Manchester, Temple Emanu-El, and The Princeton Historical Society for the honor of sharing my grandfather’s story. May his memory be a blessing and may we all learn from his wisdom.
Last week I had the opportunity to speak to Monarch Academy’s students about Poppy and his story. The students were so insightful and asked incredible questions. A few days ago, I received a package from the school full of thank you letters sharing their thoughts and reflections on my presentation. Being able to educate young minds on the atrocities of the Holocaust and is why I share Poppy’s story.
79 years ago, on January 21, 1945 Poppy was liberated from Fünfteichen Concentration Camp. We must never forget the horrors that he and millions of others experienced in the Holocaust #neveragain
During my most recent shift at the Toronto Holocaust Museum, an 11-year old (the youngest age admitted) approached me during a school trip to ask me to explain Kristallnacht. There's nothing more difficult than trying to explain that level of hate to a child.
Thank you for B’nai Tikvah for the amazing opportunity to share my grandfather’s story last week. Every new person who hears his story helps his memory live on.
