On Earth, when you crack an egg, it's over. In reverse time, omelettes become eggs. But in "Jeremy Bearimy" time is vaguely cyclical. So does the egg become an omelette which becomes an egg again? #TheGoodPlace
@ayatr0llah Here's an example. This woman is anti-regime but she's also against the war. The regime hasn't convinced her to change her view of the way they govern but they've bought a window where she *might* agree to support *some* of their policies. https://t.co/VMSKAWCgXL
@ayatr0llah During the protests earlier this summer, young, obviously pro-Western women were seen at the protests. When asked if they supported the regime they would invariably say something like "Just look at me" (not wearing a hijab) "but we're at war".
@ayatr0llah Lemme rephrase; I don’t mean that the avg Iranian has no importance just because they live in a dictatorship, I mean that the regime’s problems are effectively “solved” by the war (temporarily). People may not trust the regime but they’re “listening” if you get what I’m saying.
@ayatr0llah You've got it backwards. The regime has no domestic concerns to address. The IRGC is on TV all day long telling people that the Ayatollah is their only protection from hostile foreigners blowing up schools. It's a hard argument to debunk when we are in fact blowing up schools.
@ayatr0llah You keep saying that Iran will "accumulate damage" if they don't surrender. Have you looked at what's happening in Ukraine? Do you think that Zelensky is worried about Kyiv "accumulating damage"? And that's a war where the enemy is physically on their land shooting people.
@ayatr0llah Aragchi already granted concessions. The IRGC told him that nukes should remain on the table no matter what. But the moderates overruled them because they believed Aragchi could get Trump to agree to a version of the JCPOA with no oversight....which is exactly what happened.
@ayatr0llah If he didn't buy it why did he sign the MOU? He could've just rejected it. The truth is that he got fooled and then Fox News started complaining. But again, when gas is $6/gallon, they won't care what Trump gives away as long as it doesn't effect them (and it won't).
@ayatr0llah Trump has no idea what a concession would even look like. Aragchi sent him a watered down version of the JCPOA & he bought it hook line & sinker. As for the Iranian people, they’re screwed no matter what. The only event that will change the fundamentals is a U.S. ground invasion.
@thelonecabbage@beyond_capital Everything in the image is factually true and we know this because the killers admitted it in 1977. Nothing here is taken out of context, so in what sense is this “anti-Semitic” ?
@ayatr0llah Trump has already agreed to sanctions relief and when gas hits $6/gallon he’ll fold and relief will be back on the table. The only real question is how long it’ll take to push the price up that far.
@mehdiy_fa There won't be a next strong position. To accomplish regime change now would mean spending months creating a plan that they didn't have at the beginning & opening the Strait can only be done via diplomacy since shipping companies no longer trust the claims made by the US military
@mirandamelendy@2xBeepBoopVodka@DreAllDay@notgwendalupe How many Chat GPT prompts did it take to get this answer? 1st most college professors are adjuncts who have an MA not a PhD. 2nd why put "advanced" before terminal? There are no beginner terminal degrees. 3rd, EdD's write dissertations, which is nothing like a capstone project.
@mirandamelendy@2xBeepBoopVodka@DreAllDay@notgwendalupe I looked it up. It's a research doctorate, the same kind of degree as a PhD. She also completed a thesis, which is exactly what PhD candidates do. You can't explain the difference to me because there isn't one and you know it.
@judeanboldruler@Vodkanovich15@CensoredHumans This is like saying that the word “Japanese” refers to Black people just because you found a Black tennis player w/a Japanese passport. But now that you’re claiming the word belonged to Jews 1st it should be easy for you to get a dictionary & tell me what it means in Hebrew.
