@ayatr0llah During the protests earlier this summer, young, obviously pro-Western women were seen at the protests. When asked if they supported the regime they would invariably say something like "Just look at me" (not wearing a hijab) "but we're at war".

@ayatr0llah Lemme rephrase; I don’t mean that the avg Iranian has no importance just because they live in a dictatorship, I mean that the regime’s problems are effectively “solved” by the war (temporarily). People may not trust the regime but they’re “listening” if you get what I’m saying.

@ayatr0llah You've got it backwards. The regime has no domestic concerns to address. The IRGC is on TV all day long telling people that the Ayatollah is their only protection from hostile foreigners blowing up schools. It's a hard argument to debunk when we are in fact blowing up schools.

@ayatr0llah You keep saying that Iran will "accumulate damage" if they don't surrender. Have you looked at what's happening in Ukraine? Do you think that Zelensky is worried about Kyiv "accumulating damage"? And that's a war where the enemy is physically on their land shooting people.

@ayatr0llah Aragchi already granted concessions. The IRGC told him that nukes should remain on the table no matter what. But the moderates overruled them because they believed Aragchi could get Trump to agree to a version of the JCPOA with no oversight....which is exactly what happened.

@ayatr0llah If he didn't buy it why did he sign the MOU? He could've just rejected it. The truth is that he got fooled and then Fox News started complaining. But again, when gas is $6/gallon, they won't care what Trump gives away as long as it doesn't effect them (and it won't).

@ayatr0llah Trump has no idea what a concession would even look like. Aragchi sent him a watered down version of the JCPOA & he bought it hook line & sinker. As for the Iranian people, they’re screwed no matter what. The only event that will change the fundamentals is a U.S. ground invasion.
