Yusuf Pathan sought a municipal plot in Vadodara in 2012. The proposal was rejected by the Gujarat government in 2014. In 2024, the BJP-controlled VMC served him an encroachment notice. The land was valued at ₹20.5 crore.

Now, two months after he quit TMC, Gujarat proposes to GIFT him 500 sq m and sell him another 478 sq m at a 45% discount.

What changed? Why should a disputed public plot be gifted to a politician on such sweet terms?

CBI launches action in Ankita Bhandari case; CBI team reaches ex-MLA Suresh Rathore's residence

Odisha | Based on a tip-off regarding the collection of bribes from various contractors, Prasanjit Das, Superintending Engineer, Mahanadi Northern Division, Jagatpur, Kataka was intercepted by Odisha Vigilance late last night near AG Chowk, Bhubaneswar, while he was travelling in his officially hired vehicle, and unaccounted suspected ill-gotten cash of Rs 7,28,620 was found in his possession.

Following his interception, simultaneous searches were conducted early morning today at his rented house and paternal house. During search of his rented flat, further cash of Rs 14,60,000 was recovered.

As the accused could not satisfactorily account for such huge cash amounting to Rs 21,88,620, the same has been seized. He has been detained for further investigation and is being interrogated further to ascertain the source of the cash.

In this connection, Bhubaneswar Vigilance PS Case has been registered and under investigation.
