@klenoir7@AP@Target This last year they hardly had any pride stuff and it was tucked away on a single kiosk in the store… they’ve been walking back their inclusiveness for a while. It’s pretty sad. This change is still upsetting tho. I can’t shop at some of the other places either, where can I go?
And if I said y’all already live by the motto “your body, my choice” by existing maskless in public spaces and determining other people’s health for them by spreading covid wherever you go?
25% of all covid infections have no symptoms, but all infections cause damage. Mask up.
@Summer_Plums@aysenein Im only slightly encouraged because one time when I was walking into the grocery store a lady said something like “oh your smart for wearing that” and then I talked to her for a few mins and offered her one, she took it and put it on. I feel your mood tho, totally valid.
@Summer_Plums@aysenein Oohhh that’s not a bad idea.. I carry extra masks with me too, so maybe also a bracelet that says “need a mask, just ask” or something similar.
@Cosyluv_@Jennenay I once had to turn it bright mode to use a digital coupon from a craft store… almost burned my eyes out. Immediately turned it back to black.
I’m sending love to all of the people still taking Covid precautions almost five years in. I know how exhausting it can be where the majority of the world has stopped caring about it, but you’re still doing it. You’re standing for community, love, and solidarity. Keep going. 💜
@hafsaquraishi_@agender_riot The other day I complimented a lady on her fun patterned shorts and she lit up and said “thanks so much, my husband gave me a funny look and said he didn’t like them. I’ll get to tell him I got a lovely comment on them” and she was beaming! It was excellent all around.
Same goes for the ableist assholes who love to harass disabled people for expressing their rage at being abandoned & shut out of society during an ongoing pandemic that the world is ignoring.
Stay strong, friends. The denial is loud… but the tide is turning.
KEEP MAKING NOISE.
@BFryback@Jennenay For profit prisons need to be full to make investors happy, they’ll send people to go “work” for fast food and processing plants because that amendment that says you can still have slavery if it’s punishment for a crime and the crime being not having a home. Welcome to hell.
The Covid pandemic is ongoing. There's no past tense. People are still dying. People are still developing Long Covid. Long Covid can kill and cause life-threatening events far from infection. It's not over.
