Too often, politics in Nigeria is loud about power, but painfully quiet about the people’s pain.
We hear the noise during elections,
rallies, promises, propaganda, and defections.
But when it matters most, there is silence.

In the early 1970s, a Nigerian student, Mudashiru Ayeni, believed he had invented a battery-powered robot office assistant and asked to personally demonstrate it to the head of state, Yakubu Gowon. He was sent to a psychiatrist instead.
According to a 1971 feature story by TRUST magazine:
▶️Ayeni made eight visits to the hospital before the psychiatrist certified him to be of sound mind.
▶️The 20-year-old student then wrote to his school principal about the role young Africans were expected to play in the continent’s development.
▶️This time, he was banned from classes and forced to quit school entirely.
▶️Ayeni later reached out to Nigeria’s Federal Commissioner of Communications, Aminu Kano, who encouraged him and gave him a renewed sense of purpose.
▶️How his robot worked: at the press of a button, it told the caller whether the boss was busy, available, or away from the office.
▶️At the time the story was published, Ayeni said several businessmen had already expressed interest in his invention.
Thank you @eric_gugua for this
Unfortunately, the ignoramus Christians aren’t aware that there is a war ongoing currently against the power & the great workings of God being spoken on social media.
As for me o, no one & I repeat no one can stop me from shouting about God & His mighty power to save & deliver in the most impossible of ways
@pastorpoju@tcnabuleegba This David is a seasoned believer. When you see a guy soaked in the Word and yet diligent in his business, you would know when they talk. They are proud of their God and humble. We happily appreciate his biological father and his spiritual father for the balance in raising David
David Akiogbe, one of our teenagers @tcnabuleegba shared a powerful testimony on him scoring 1580/1600 in his SAT test. I have attached in the comment section an invitation for him to train this morning at the US Consulate.
The message of Christianity is that God placed so much value on human life that he sent his Son to die on the cross for us. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)
@subomiplumptre Thank you, @subomiplumptre, for addressing this deep-seated issue. The answer has always been in plain sight. You made it very obvious, and quite simply for the church to understand.
God's continued wisdom in Jesus' name.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲?
We could borrow a leaf from Seymour's humility in our churches today. Let the Holy Spirit lead, while we follow. Let him determine the order of our worship services and church administration, while we execute. We must cede control.
That being said, I strongly believe the resurgence of the church's social influence will be ignited by revolutionaries outside traditional churches. But, it will be sustained by the resources that already exist in local assemblies.
I also believe that the renewal will be preceded by a focus on the following:
- Personal relationship with and knowledge of Jesus.
- Dependency on the power of the Holy Ghost.
- Communities that love & care for one another and the world.
Wherever you see these things, God is there.
Thank you for reading.
𝗡𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁
Why does so much of modern faith seem to rise and fall on rigorous human effort? If Christians are honest, their best "work" almost feels "easy" when someone else is powering it - the Holy Ghost.
Instead of bemoaning the decline of organized religion, maybe we should humbly listen, then ask what God is thinking and doing right now. The answer might surprise us. And if God works in generational instalments, then it stands to reason that the answer lies with young people and we should be asking them.
The church also needs to cease striving and embrace rest. If we believe the devil really is god of the world, then we cannot be more strategic than him. But God can.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝗦𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴?
We cannot overcome the wisdom of the world - with its grand universities, research labs, policy centers, political lobbyists, forests of dark magic and lodges of fraternity. Only the pure and simple wisdom of God will prevail.
The Creator sees the end from the beginning. He weaves the tapestry of destiny and fate. He is the source of all power and his breath hamstrings mighty armies and confounds the wisdom of "Ahithophel."
When he speaks, prophecies come to pass. Therefore, we should speak less and listen more, then execute what he says.
VIDEO: It is time to add conscience to power- Adeyemi
A global speaker and strategic leadership expert,Sam Adeyemi, has appealed to politicians to add conscience to the power they wield.
He spoke at the leadership and national development programme hosted by Channels TV.
According to him, a leader should not just have character but also needs skills.
Adeyemi said: "I'm appealing to those of us who occupy positions, especially in government, that it is time to add conscience to that power and receiving what you actually acquire is not success but what you give".
