Yesterday we had the absolute privilege of hosting Prosper Football Club for a Charity Match Day in aid of Charlie's Promise The opportunity came up and we grabbed it with both hands. It may have not given us much time to plan, but we couldn't be prouder of what was achieved! We saw a fantastic mix of age groups from Liphook, Prosper Football Club and Petersfield Town Football Club taking part throughout the day. Every single player was phenomenal and gave it their all 👏 A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support and donated their hard earned money - whether it was through contributions, buying hot food, or grabbing a drink at the bar, your support means everything! Special shout outs go to our very own superwoman Jenni, U14's Coach Ben and the truly amazing Ben and Jordan at Prosper Football Club - your determination and dedication made this day possbile 💙 We'd also like to thank Martin and Tara, Charlie's parents, for joining us and speaking with players and families. Hearing Martin speak was incredibly powerful and a reminder of just how important the work of this charity is, and the devastating impact of knife crime. Last but at no means least, thank you to all of the amazing volunteers - from bar staff to referees - you are all superstars!! Now for the part we're still struggling to believe... Together with the funds raised at Prosper's Parents vs Coaches match and gift aid, the total amount is.... (drum roll please)... over £6,000!!! 💪 We are absolutely blown away! This is a true testatment to the strength and generosity of our community. Thank you all so so much 💙 (and yes... Ben at Prosper has checked the maths at least 6,000 times as we just can't believe it) We can't wait to do it all again next year... and trust us - it'll be bigger and better!!!! The first match kicks off at 11am with further matches continuing throughout the day! 🍔 Food & Drink Available All Day: • Burgers & hot dogs • Hot & cold drinks in the clubhouse • Sweets & snacks 💙 Every penny of profit from the bar will be donated directly to Charlie’s Promise — so every drink or bite to eat you buy helps make a difference.
