This is sad news.
At a time when gamers are already stretched financially, and console prices rising, Sony are killing off the 2nd hand game market for their games to stick the knife in https://t.co/ODfDi1VeAv
For anyone who knows a little person with a Yoto, check out Animal Facts. It’s a dynamic card app, narrated by my 7 yr old daughter Alice, which is now featured as part of the Yoto digital club collection.
Check it out and let us know what you think!

I just flipped the switch on my revamped site. I'm not afraid of Friday production releases 🤣 Here's my first post in almost 7 years –
Hello again (and a new look) https://t.co/x0nnYWn4BJ
We're hosting the Pixel Pioneers Warm-up at JET's Bristol office next Thursday 18th June, with talks from Molly India Nye, Jamie Maguire and Marwa Gorvan.
The event is free – grab your ticket here: https://t.co/QXDzPn9zPx
It's been a while, but I've been working on updating my site so that I can start posting again.
To give an idea of how ancient the old code is, it uses RequireJS, Grunt, and floats for CSS layout (everywhere).
Releasing it will be like removing a huge weight from my back 😆
My aim is to make short videos for devs (like me) who don't always have the time to watch a 30-minute deep-dive explainer.
If there are any topics you'd like me to cover, let me know!
I've decided to have a dabble into the world of making video content.
If you're interested in HTML/CSS/JS, AI coding tips and tutorials, and just frontend topics in general, subscribe to my new channel, Frontend Guidelines.

Also, if you do like it (and have a Yoto account), please hit like at the bottom of the Yoto space page – I'd really appreciate it!

I built a thing!
For any parents who know what a Yoto Player is, I submitted an entry for their Developer Challenge – Animal facts! It's a dynamic card app that updates daily with new animal facts.
If you (or your kids) have a Yoto, check it out! #yoto

I mainly built this as an excuse to show my eldest daughter how things get made with code, but I actually learnt a ton from making it too.
There's a small technical info section on the Yoto card page, which explains how the application is built.
I'm really interested to hear devs' thoughts on this – When interviewing, do you prefer Live Coding or Take Home tests?
I've made a poll on Reddit, which would be great if you could respond to, but I'd love to hear any thoughts here too!

The State of JavaScript Survey always provides an interesting look at the JS world. Make sure you fill out the 2024 Survey if you use JS in some way https://t.co/f62wfqE48t #js
Great to see Web Components being discussed on Syntax again with @scottjehl joining @wesbos and @stolinski – worth a listen for anyone wanting to learn a bit more about the area https://t.co/mCxmugsfNk
@PixelAmbacht Do you have any links to any indie font creators that you recommended when talking to Jeremy after your talk yesterday? Keen to check them out.
Great talk btw! Didn't realise you created https://t.co/PnjPPQJC4u too – such a useful tool #thanks
Looking forward to taking part in Figma's "In The File" livestream next week. I'll be talking about globalising JET's Design System, PIE, and why we've been moving to use native web components to replace our current React and Vue component systems:
https://t.co/tVG1hqx3Jq
I love the sentiment of a global design system – but as someone working with Web Components I think there are a few issues that would need resolving (through WC specs) before being actually possible for big companies to adopt

@EmmaLieghio From what I’ve read, if you’re selling personal possessions at a loss (so pre-owned clothes you previously bought), you don’t have to declare anything
