@Variety It’s not the same but when I lost 13 people in 18 mths, teaching online, my usual business/job from home, kept me distracted during the long days teaching kids. I was dealing with the losses before and after work but it gave me a break from it all.

@GAFollowers My niece died at 13 when her hair got caught in either the axle or engine, I forgot which. It snapped her neck. She had tied her hair back, but the ponytail got caught and it killed her.

Please be careful letting kids ride these things. I’m just heartbroken for her family.

@javert2323 @CNN I’m white and had the same thought. I also worry about the student. I taught first graders who had horrible parents, at times. However, I can’t imagine one ever shooting me. I have seen (and reported) other teachers who were cruel to their students….including first graders.
