Pokémon Alpha Sapphire remains one of the best ways Pokémon has ever revisited an older generation.

Released in 2014 as a remake of the original Pokémon Sapphire, it brought Hoenn into full 3D while adding Mega Evolution, Primal Kyogre, soaring across the region with Latias/Latios, and the Delta Episode.

More than a decade later, ORAS still feels like the blueprint for how Pokémon remakes should be done: respect the original, modernize the experience, and add enough new content to make returning to the region feel exciting again.
