Retail will come for Solana meme coins first cause it’s so much simpler to transact in that ecosystem. There’s no equivalent to Phantom and mobile friendly apps and funding wallet from CEX is instant with Solana. Retail won’t mess with Runes. Maybe Base if Coinbase makes it easy.

Two years ago, Azuki set out to create an open anime universe. Today, we're taking a big step towards achieving that vision through our collaboration with @animecoin and @arbitrum in building AnimeChain.

Our initial challenge two years ago was to prove that a decentralized anime brand was possible. Since then, we’ve made meaningful progress.

The Azuki community, through its creation of ~100 subcommunities, 8,000+ pieces of fan and commissioned art, hosting a global garden tour, and much more, has emphatically shown that it's possible to birth a new IP that originates from web3.

With an anime anthology series coming up around the corner featuring the best talent in the industry, we're just beginning to see the potential of what Azuki can grow into.

The team's primary focus remains on growing Azuki into a globally recognized anime IP, creating digital & physical experiences, and rewarding our collectors. Going forward, our role expands to include being the premier launch partner for AnimeChain. What does this mean?

It means that as pioneers in a new model for brand and IP creation, we're taking on the challenge of helping shape the next generation of anime on both the production and consumption side. Just like we proved out the model for building a decentralized brand, we're now going to showcase what taking a brand onchain looks like.

We don’t expect AnimeChain to disrupt the industry by only onboarding incumbent anime IPs and players. We’re proving that it can be done by first creating and taking our own IP’s products and experiences onchain.

So what's possible in the future? Imagine web2 fans captivated by the Azuki anime or our socials, signing up on our site with their email to instantly get an AnimeChain wallet. Imagine them buying collectibles and merch with PBT. Now picture them co-creating the Azuki universe and further strengthening the underlying network.

Now imagine the same but with the addition of new anime IPs on AnimeChain over time because the network will attract the best talent through rewarding creators and participants.

Over the next few months, we'll be releasing details on how specifically Azuki holders can engage and benefit from participating in this global anime network. For now, sit back and enjoy the journey.
