Today is 📚 World Read Aloud Day 📚 and lots of our lovely Year 6s volunteered to go to our Nursery, Reception & Key Stage One classes to share a story with them. They did a brilliant job and the children loved having their storytelling visitors 🥰

What an experience we had taking some of our Wesley Stars to walk out as Bee Netball mascots with England and New Zealand, ask the pro netballers questions and go backstage at an International Netball game. Thank you @EnglandNetball #doallyoucan

First half term of @skip2bfit and we have our leaderboards up and ready with our class skipping totals and winners. Ending with a skip off with our KS1 winner and staff winner. Keep up the amazing work Wesley #doallyoucan #skip2bfit

Year 1/2 Wood have been loving the cross-curricular orienteering this week. We have been trying out maths, PE and phonics orienteering and they have blown me away with how independent they have been to find the markers and work out the answers #doallyoucan

Wesley had a great day with Bury Basketball Development Officer Stephen that was in with us for the day. Every KS2 class had a session with him and he left us all wanting to do more basketball at Wesley. #doallyoucan

Our year 3/4 girls had a great afternoon at the Bee Netball event with the amazing playleaders from @ParrenthornPE We are super excited for a netball surprise that will be coming up for some of our Wesley children #doallyoucan

Miss Hunter, Oakley and Mrs Webster were very lucky to take 4 lovely Y6s up Holcombe Hill this afternoon with The Sunnywood Project. We even got to go right to the top of Peel Tower! A tiring but lovely walk!

What a day at Wesley! Skip2bfit delivering a skipping workshop to all of our classes and introducing the 2 minute skipping challenge ready to start in Skiptember. It was great to see everyone including staff giving it their all #doallyoucan @skip2bfit

Year 1/2Wood have loved our KS1 Colour Day today. Some year 5’s came to join us for some crafting and sport fun. It was so nice to see them leading some of the activities and coaching Boules. What a great day with an ice cream treat too!

Year 1/2 Wood had a special visitor from Kirklees Valley Animal Rescue to help us celebrate World Bee day 🐝 We learnt all about the beehives and the children asked super questions with some time to try their delicious honey too 🍯 #doallyoucan

44 bikes were fixed and serviced today by a mechanic organised by @burylivewell Lots of great feedback and lots more children out riding their bikes safely during The Great Space Walk 5 day challenge week with @livingstreets #doallyoucan
