Today is 📚 World Read Aloud Day 📚 and lots of our lovely Year 6s volunteered to go to our Nursery, Reception & Key Stage One classes to share a story with them. They did a brilliant job and the children loved having their storytelling visitors 🥰

Year 1/2 Wood have been loving the cross-curricular orienteering this week. We have been trying out maths, PE and phonics orienteering and they have blown me away with how independent they have been to find the markers and work out the answers #doallyoucan
Wesley had a great day with Bury Basketball Development Officer Stephen that was in with us for the day. Every KS2 class had a session with him and he left us all wanting to do more basketball at Wesley. #doallyoucan

Miss Hunter, Oakley and Mrs Webster were very lucky to take 4 lovely Y6s up Holcombe Hill this afternoon with The Sunnywood Project. We even got to go right to the top of Peel Tower! A tiring but lovely walk!

Year 1/2Wood have loved our KS1 Colour Day today. Some year 5’s came to join us for some crafting and sport fun. It was so nice to see them leading some of the activities and coaching Boules. What a great day with an ice cream treat too!
Year 1/2 Wood had a special visitor from Kirklees Valley Animal Rescue to help us celebrate World Bee day 🐝 We learnt all about the beehives and the children asked super questions with some time to try their delicious honey too 🍯 #doallyoucan
