Fantastic day, we’ve loved using cojo for the last few years and getting a bit of re-training was just what we needed. Helped reaffirm just how good it is and how it suppers our children. Thanks Jimmy.

The children in our Addition Resource Centre (ARC) KS2 have settled in beautifully. They are bonding with each other and making new friends, and settling into West Boldon life and routines. A welcome addition to our school community.
School is a hive of activity in the summer holidays getting ready for next year. Solar panels are getting fitted! These have been provided by South Tyneside council and will save the school approximately £5000 a year, this is along with the obvious environmental benefits.
A huge thank you to Father Keith Walker from the parishes of St Oswald’s, St Gregory’s and Sacred Heart Church Communities for their huge donation of £500 yesterday. He presented it to our school council members and will be distributed to people struggling in our community.
Well that’s another year of SATs over and we can’t say how proud we are of these group of children. Their attitude this week, this year and through their time in primary has been amazing. They are a great group of children who have matured into fabulous young adults. #SATs
We understand how difficult the cost of living crisis is for everyone at the moment and the impact that is is having on our community. We have been able to secure a number of grocery boxes from the charity Feeding Families, which are available to any family. #heretohelp
Today we learnt about the custom of Inuit Thoat singing. A custom the woman would have taken part in while the men were away hunting. Standing very close to each other the ladies would replicate noises with their own voices that they would hear in nature. #throatsinging#inuit
Here’s today Christmas Makaton sign. We are so pleased on the feedback that you have all given stating how much you are enjoying them. #makaton#matthancok#southtyneside
We use Makaton in many of our classes and it really helps children progress there communication. Mrs Davidson has produced a different Makaton Christmas related sign to share with everyone as we progress through advent. #makaton#ofsted#christmas2022
Our year 1 pupils were so happy to receive their certificates for taking part in a tennis competition at Boldon Comp. It was nice to hear not just how well they performed but also that their behaviour was perfect. Well done year 1. #tennis#andymurry#SportEngland
