Dawn Land - Just a mom who doesn’t like bullies! I filed Ref 101 against SB 5599. I will never stop fighting to protect kids & young adults from TransIdeologies
Today we protested the @AmerAcadPeds over their stance on “gender affirming care”!
It’s so important to push back at every opportunity. Currently, the AAP has a policy to medicalize confused and vulnerable kids, turning them into medical patients for life.
@ElizabethGiddi1@MrAndyNgo When my husband had a stroke two years ago, there was a TiF nurse working in the ER. I was later told by a nurse friend who works at that same hospital there is at least one other TiF nurse there, too.
It’s so dangerous to make exceptions for these delusional individuals!
I am being sued for defamation in the High Court by Paul Carruthers. The claim seeks damages of up to £65,000, together with an injunction and legal costs.
The case arises from a livestream I made in July 2025 following a court judgment concerning the Gender Plus Hormone Clinic and the CQC. I was talking, angrily and robustly, about what I regard as the medical abuse of children.
I have said for years that transitioning children is profound abuse. I believe children cannot meaningfully consent to interventions that may affect healthy bodies, sexual development, sexual function and fertility. I will continue to campaign about that.
Carruthers now heads the Gender Plus Hormone Clinic. Gender Plus's own website says its hormone service is available from the age of 16, and describes Carruthers as Director of the clinic and leader of its endocrine pathway. Carruthers is publicly described as a gay man and elsewhere as transgender. I have not independently verified Carruthers’ biological sex. I am, of course, a sex-based campaigner who believes that sex is immutable.
The central legal dispute is about meaning.
One of the passages relied upon in the claim was:
“If you want to know how paedophiles successfully managed to ingratiate themselves into positions of power, this is how. It's just unbelievable.”
Carruthers says that those words were a personal allegation about Carruthers.
I dispute that. I was not talking about Carruthers when I made that comment. I did not intend to say, or imply, that Paul Carruthers is a paedophile or has a sexual interest in children.
The context of the livestream matters. I had been discussing the CQC, the Cass Review, regulatory loopholes and how institutions allow people to gain positions of influence. Immediately afterwards I returned to the court judgment. The claimant's solicitors themselves have proposed that the High Court determine the meaning of the words as a preliminary issue.
When I was first challenged about the video, I ensured it was removed from public view and offered a public clarification and apology concerning the disputed implication, together with an undertaking not to repeat it. I did not want litigation. I tried to resolve the dispute.
Proceedings were nevertheless issued, and I now have to defend myself.
I do not have the resources to fund unlimited High Court litigation. I am therefore acting as a litigant in person, with the assistance of a McKenzie Friend, and I intend to obtain specialist defamation advice and barrister assistance at the stages where it is most important and where the funds allow.
That still costs money. A complicated High Court case requires many hours of preparation: understanding procedure, responding properly to the Particulars of Claim, organising evidence, preparing documents and bundles, researching the law, corresponding with the other side and preparing for hearings. Specialist legal advice and advocacy will add substantially to that.
I would never ask people to fund me to go looking for somebody to sue. I am the defendant. This fight was brought to me.
If necessary, I will stand in the High Court and represent myself. I understand that litigation carries genuine risks and that I could lose. What I want is enough professional support and specialist advice to make sure I understand those risks and put forward the best defence I properly can.
I am also going to be careful about what I publish while proceedings are live. This fundraiser is not an attempt to try the case on social media or encourage anyone to contact or target the claimant. The legal questions belong in court.
But the wider principle matters enormously to me.
People must be able to criticise medicine, regulators and powerful institutions, particularly where children are concerned. Free speech cannot become something only wealthy people can afford to defend.
If the financial price of defending controversial speech becomes ruinous, you don't need to formally ban people from speaking. Fear will do the job instead.
I am profoundly grateful to everyone who has already supported me. Every donation will help pay for the practical and specialist legal assistance I need to defend these proceedings.
I didn't seek this case.
But I intend to defend it.

@joeybrite1 He actually says he’s gay. But he didn’t just go off and be gay. He abandoned his wife and child and joined the party lifestyle. He was crowned Miss Gay Seattle this past June.
Make no mistake. He chose to party over his “boring life” of responsibility.
On August 30, 2026, Abby White of Hope Development Practice took great pains to make sure any young children she exposed to drag at her Plateau Pride event experienced that very adult entertainment in a more private location that was not disclosed in advance. After all the vile pictures and videos showing kids exposed to inappropriate performances by scantily clad drag queens from her Plateau Pride event last year, Abby wanted to keep the small kids’ interactions with drag queens off camera.
But teenagers are still minor children, too.
Maya Mem Saab was the drag queen Abby set up to read to small children for Drag Queen Story Hour. Later at Abby’s event, he was the emcee.
During the drag performances, all the seats right up front were filled with high school students. We know this because not only did they look very young, but at one point Maya Mem Saab asked, “Are there any high school students here?”
Later, during his last performance, he targeted those high school students and brought them all out onto the dance floor to dance with him.
But don’t take my word for it. He posted about it on his Facebook page.
“The screenshot I am sharing is from the end of the drag show. I brought some of the high schoolers in the audience up with me to the stage…”
“This is exactly why I do drag. For the people who aren’t able to be their full, authentic selves yet…”
These are KIDS he’s talking about!
It’s important to share that Maya Mem Saab was once married to a woman and they had a child, but he abandoned them for a party life of drag. THIS is the “authentic self” he is encouraging kids to pursue.
Sumner parents, do you know where your high schooler was on Sunday, August 30th? If you aren’t sure, there is a chance they may have been downtown watching drag queens perform in the alley behind Main Street.
Drag is not appropriate for kids of any age.
***I’m working on blurring kids’ faces in the video, but here is a screenshot of the kids dancing with the drag queen, faces blurred. I had set my cell phone down for a moment while my body cam continued to film the drag queen. You can hear his voice singling out the high school kids while the cell phone video shows the little container garden.
@Tammy2226389288 Right?!?
Although in all fairness, the Plateau Pride always has a cute dog contest, too. So it’s more like they are just upping their game. 🤮
Last year I went to Plateau Pride, which was held at an elementary school in Bonney Lake. It was on a playground, with a bouncy house and inflatable hamster balls, to entice as many kids as possible to come to the Pride event. The kids were then exposed to the very adult entertainment of Drag Queens.
When I published my videos and pictures, there was understandably outrage. I am not the only one who pointed out that this is what groomers do.
This year when she planned Plateau Pride, Abby White of Hope Development Practice tried to avoid having the grooming behavior publicized. She worked especially at trying to scare me away.
First, she made this year’s Plateau Pride a ticketed event, saying that anyone getting a free ticket was “making a promise to support the LGBTQIA community and do no harm by the spread of misinformation.” (That’s what they call pictures they don’t like, showing what they have done. “Misinformation.”)

🤣😂🤣
It’s totally coming!
You see, Abby hired a professional photographer, who went around taking pics of the event. She stopped me and asked to take my pic, too.
Later, Abby was mad at a live-streamer for standing in the event, live-streaming. She spent Monday obsessively watching the 4+ hours of that livestream…only to find out at the very end of the livestream that I had been in her event in disguise the whole time!
Abby’s attorney sent a hysterical, misspelled email to my attorney late afternoon Monday, having conniption and threatening to sue me on behalf of people for filming them in a public space. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
I didn’t think I could laugh any harder than when I got Abby’s attorney’s initial email!
It’s now been two and a half weeks since Abby’s event and she hasn’t released any pictures!
This picture was taken from my camera that I was wearing. You can see I’m in the background of her pic she’s taking of the drag queen!
So yes, I will share my disguise soon!
Third, when I signed up for her event’s free tickets, and when I hired my own attorney to respond to Abby’s threats, Abby decided to do her event a little differently this year. She skipped the bouncy house and there was no room for the inflatable hamster balls in that tiny Sumner alley she ended up renting. But Abby was still fully committed to exposing kids to the adult entertainment of Drag performers.
Instead of having Drag Queen Story Hour outside where anyone could take a picture, Abby’s schedule calls for kids to meet at her booth so they can be led to an unspecified location for DQSH.
Because apparently Abby sees nothing at all creepy about leading kids out of sight to a secret location so she can expose them to adult entertainment.
Multiple witnesses saw kids being led around through the front of a bookstore on Main Street for DQSH in the back of the store. I was also told that’s where DQSH was located by a Main Street merchant. I was speaking to the drag queen when one of the Hope Development volunteers came to get him for the DQSH.
Abby was so obsessed with keeping me away from her event that I actually had to go in disguise.
Here are some of the written proof and a couple of videos that show how Abby planned how to lead kids away to a secret location for Drag Queen Story Hour.
3/3
Second, when Abby found out she couldn’t have her event on Sumner-Bonney Lake school property this year after I spoke with the school board, Abby threatened to sue me.
Let me say that again - Abby White of Hope Development Practice threatened to sue me because I exposed her as a person who puts drag queens in front of children.
Her attorney’s demand letter email was ridiculous.

@FireDad182 We moms always want to think the best of our kids. To the point of our own detriment.
Pray for him. But he doesn’t get to come over anymore.
He will tell everyone that he was shunned by his mother. He will never admit that what he did was abusive, alienating, and wrong.
@FireDad182@COPDLiving@itto13bitty Praying the keepsakes are found, whole and intact. How old is he? Does he drive? Is there an apartment complex or grocery store or fast food restaurant nearby where he could have thrown the stuff in the big dumpster? Maybe a little woodsy area nearby?
Last night, I went to confession for the first time since I was 18 years old.
I sat down across from the priest and told him that. More than two decades had passed since the last time I had entered a confessional.
Then I asked him a strange question:
“Do you know what a detransitioner is?”
He said yes.
So I told him my story.
I told him that I had lived as a transgender man for seven years. That last June, I finally admitted publicly that I had been wrong. That I detransitioned. That today I accept something I spent years running from:
I am a woman.
I told him what followed. The anger. The attacks. The people from every corner and every side who have come after me for speaking openly about what happened to me and for refusing to pretend that I believe something I no longer believe.
But none of that was really why I was sitting there.
I wasn’t there to confess what other people had done to me.
I was there to confess what I had done to myself.
For seven years, I told myself I was a man.
And beneath everything else - the politics, the activism, the arguments, the labels, the endless noise - I needed to ask God to forgive me for lying to myself about who I was.
So I did.
And I was forgiven.
After more than two decades away from confession, I walked out of that church with something I didn’t walk in with:
A sense of purpose.
There is something incredibly liberating about realizing that I do not need absolution from the internet. I don’t need it from activists. I don’t need it from people who hate me. I don’t need it from people who resent me, misunderstand me, gossip about me, or think I should spend the rest of my life apologizing for telling the truth about my own life.
I asked God for forgiveness.
And God forgave me.
That’s the judgment that matters to me now.
Everyone else can stay mad.
