@HelenLOHara do you think Deadpool and Wolverine could push the BBFC to a 15a style cert like Spider-man did for 12a? The US has the R rating.
Going to be a lot of angry parents this weekend as the cinemas are being REALLY tight on ID for this. As I discovered last night 😂

@SFB_953 @HelenLOHara Having seen it now though I see the violence as fantastical and ridiculous unlike say Robocop when I was growing up which had real menace. I still think some allowance around an age restriction could be a way forward

@HelenLOHara Good to know , it must be severe then. but I do think that whatever the cert there should be some leeway for people close to that age for parents to make the call.

To qualify, they could still have a secondary limit like 12-15 yo can get in with parents. I feel when they’re close to the age restriction then a parent should be the one to make the call.

@SLou1967 @northessexHarry @Trezza_Sam @blanka546 @carolineryanjef @under_cover_mp @DrHoenderkamp I appreciate it is unaffected but the status allows many tax benefits including easier access for gift aid on donations which depending on the school can be substantial. I am sure many schools although having been warned not to will find clever ways to lower fees and up donations

No one likes a sudden tax yet charity status has allowed private schools and parents to benefit at the tax payers expense such as gift aid on durations and for some parents who donate.

Don’t believe I stated a profound knowledge but I do have a knowledge and rather than trying to attack me when I haven’t questioned your knowledge you could acknowledge that budgets can and do get adjusted across all sectors, that 10-20% leaving seems a touch high.

Public services have been routed since austerity with drastic cuts to budgets. Given the real terms increase in fees over the last ten years I’m sure budgets can be tightened if required

Also according to the IFS if 3-7% of private pupils went to state school it would cost £100-300million medium to long term the VAT would raise £1.3-1.5 Billion

How are they supposed to find the savings expected of them? They do it as they have no choice and while dealing with a diverse range of needs
