Westfield Thirds faced a tough challenge against Victoria Baptist this afternoon, a side known for their resilience.

Despite being reduced to ten men for over an hour, Westfield showed remarkable determination and composure throughout the contest even after Baptist took a 2–1 lead midway through the game, but Westfield refused to give in.

The Thirds fought back impressively, with Sam Way producing a sensational performance to score all three goals and secure a 3–2 victory.

The result lifts Westfield Thirds to fifth place in the table and ensures a clean sweep of wins across the club on this memorable Saturday afternoon.

Matchweek Ahead 🟡🟢

The waiting is over — all teams in the mix with something huge to play for.

On Saturday, eyes will be on the First Team as they make the trip Eastbourne to face @CrowhurstFC. This one is more than just another league fixture — it’s a battle against one of the top local sides, a test of character, and a chance to make a real statement early in the campaign. Expect a real mid sussex showstopper.

Back home, the Reserves launch their new season in the ESFL Premier. They face @JestersTownFC at 3pm, knowing that a strong start can be the spark for something special across the months ahead.

Elsewhere, the Thirds step onto the Division One stage for the very first time. After promotion last season, the challenge gets bigger, tougher, and more demanding — and it all kicks off at The Parish to @bexhill_affa at 12pm. This is not just another opening day; it’s the start of a huge campaign where every point will matter.

And on Sunday morning, the spotlight turns to the future. Our U18s open their season at home to @hailshamtownfc U18s (11am).

The next generation take centre stage, ready to showcase their talent and fight for the shirt.
