Well done to your daughter and shame on the said manager. School boy and girl football is amazing to watch ch and every parent bursts with pride watching but I would say that the atmosphere gets so toxic at these games purely because parents etc get far too excited

Today I want to say how proud I am of my 15 year old daughter. She has been a referee since June this year and today sadly had to give her first red card to a MANAGER!

Said manager disagreed with an offside decision she made which consequently led to a disallowed a goal. Instead of accepting this, said manager thought it was more appropriate to go and get in my daughters face and hurl abuse at her. This was an U12 game.

I am proud that my daughter did not react either towards the manager negatively or emotionally break down. Instead she remained calm and just showed her red card and told the manager to leave immediately which after a little more abuse he did, only to return again briefly to add a bit more abuse.

Fair play to the club in question who have been very quick to respond and have stated this is unacceptable behaviour and have apologised but still NO-ONE should be subjected to this abuse no matter their age or position. Incident reported to relevant league and county.

Please all, be mindful of this before hurling abuse at Refs, managers or players.

@LCFC_Rice It’s all about opinions and you’re entitled to yours but I don’t think he’s anywhere near good enough. However if you want someone with very little pace,reluctant to take defenders on and goes backwards then he’s your man 👨
