12/14th Battersea Westside Scout Group. A very busy group of 160+ Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders in Battersea/Balham, Wandsworth, SouthLondon. #SkillsforLife
Westside Scouts is a wonderful community, where we help young people from 6 to 14 build skills for life, but we need more support to be resilient. We're aiming to double the number of adults on our great team. See our vacant role descriptions for many different ways you can help:
Two of our volunteers are walking 20k today in support of the @Ldn_Ambulance charity - at an event organised by one of our former volunteers, Christina! The #LondonLifeHike will raise money for life-saving defibrillators - you can show your support at https://t.co/G1bJCmCMqb
Today, our beavers, cubs and scouts are taking part in the Nightingale Walk, supporting great local causes! Find out more https://t.co/1zCDugPqPm or support our walkers https://t.co/mv0Ni2zJpq - weather looks like it might up the challenge, but our walkers are on their way anyway
We're off today for three nights on our annual group Easter camp, this year at the beautiful @BentleyCopse in the Surrey Hills - loads of challenges and adventures in store, including archery and pedal karts this afternoon
We’re celebrating every single one of our amazing volunteers today. If there was a kindness badge, you’ve earned it. You really do make all the difference.

Our small group of scouts have had an excellent time on camp this weekend - jus about leaving site, so should be back at St Luke's at approximately 12.15
Scouts settling in to our summer weekend away at @FrylandsWood as we work towards our Outdoor Challenge awards - setting up site and planning their menus for the remainder of the weekend
Great to have a visit from a Wandsworth Heritage Service archivist at scouts last night! By finding out about how the local area has changed over time, our scouts are working towards their World Challenge award - big thanks to the team at @Better_WHS#localhistory#balham
Kingston starters now all finished and heading back to the Nightingale for collection. Richmond starters not far behind - well done all round! #fundraising#southlondonleads
And we're off! Scouts and cubs completing the 13 mile Nightingale Walk from Kingston in aid of local causes - you can pledge your support on our go fund me: https://t.co/jKIfGxUfRJ
Easter Camp really was a busy weekend - on top of everything else, the beavers climbed across the low ropes course, the cubs raced along the adventure course and the scouts picked up new skills doing knife, axe and saw, followed by our annual easter egg hunt
After showing we were all alive, awake, alert and enthusiastic, we also got to hear all the things our young people were thankful for, which included: the activities, the food, each other and all the hard work of our wonderful adult volunteers!
