Samuel Wells House built about 1790
"This old farmhouse was built by Samuel Wells after his return from the Revolutionary War, about 1790. He was a member of the "Light Horse Guards" in the fourth troop of Colonel Elisha Sheldon's Light Dragoons."
"When the house was built his musket was placed over the kitchen mantle where it remained for some time until the home was sold out of the family. Then the musket was given to the Wethersfield Historical Society."
