A new look for us.
The same Wetility for you.
Our refreshed identity reflects how far we have come and where we are headed next. But at our core, we are still driven by the same purpose: helping South Africans move forward with confidence. With certainty.
As we have grown, one thing has remained unchanged: our belief that great service is built on trust, action, and results. It is about showing up when it matters, solving problems with purpose, and creating value that endures.
The same commitment.
The same focus on delivering lasting impact.
The utility of the future.
Powered by Certainty. ⚡
#PoweredByCertainty #Wetility
For years, we've helped South Africans take control of their energy future.
Today, we take the next step in our journey. Not with a new promise, but with a clearer expression of who we've become, because what our customers value most isn't simply power.
It's certainty.
The certainty to live, work, grow and plan for tomorrow. The certainty that when it matters most, we will show up.
The certainty that comes from solutions that work, service you can trust, and a partner committed to helping you stay one step ahead.
As we have grown, so has our ambition.
From energy solutions to intelligent platforms and integrated utility experiences, we are building a business designed around one powerful idea: Delivering certainty in an uncertain world.
While this repositioning comes with a new look and a bolder expression, it also reassures our customers of a stronger commitment to certainty in service delivery.
Wetility. The Power of Certainty.

68 years for the first terawatt of solar. Just 2 to double it.
The transition is moving fast. The experience hasn't caught up.
At Wetility's Energy Leap event, Dr Rethabile Melamu separated ideas from impact:
"It's one thing to have an idea. It's another to have an idea backed by somebody with energy and vision."
From AI-driven insights to rethinking how energy is experienced - innovation at Wetility doesn't stop. It compounds.

To the women who make it all work; often quietly, consistently, and without pause.
Your care, strength, and resilience shape more than you’ll ever be told.
Today we recognise and thank you. Happy Mother’s Day. 💐 ⚡
On Workers' Day, we pause to recognise the people behind the work, the ones who don’t just contribute to the journey, but shape it every day.
At Wetility, every installation, every conversation, every solution delivered is part of a much bigger story. A story of building something more reliable, more sustainable, and more meaningful for the future of energy in South Africa.
It’s not a straight path, it’s a journey made up of effort, consistency, and care, written day by day by the people who show up and do the work that matters.
To our team: you remain central to the future we are building, and the progress we continue to make.⚡
“For to be free is not merely to cast off one’s chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others.” – Nelson Mandela
It is a moment that reflects the strength of South Africa’s democracy and the principles that continue to shape our collective progress.
On Freedom Day, we honour that idea and what it continues to mean for South Africa today.⚡
Winning the customer isn’t a moment - it’s a series of deliberate choices, layered over time.
At Business to Brand Summit hosted by Pat on Brands, our Founder and CEO, Vincent Maposa joined a broader conversation on what it really takes to build brands that don’t just launch, but last. Because in a crowded, fast-moving market, growth isn’t driven by a single breakthrough, it’s built like a cake, layer by layer. Product, people, brand - each one playing its role, each one reinforcing the other.
At Wetility, that thinking translates into something simple, but powerful: delivering certainty. Not just solar panels or batteries, but the outcome customers actually care about - predictable power, consistent value, and peace of mind in a space defined by uncertainty.
From earning trust when no one knows your name, to deciding whether brand or product leads the way, this session unpacked the real tension behind growth. The trade-offs. The discipline. The quiet decisions that shape whether a business scales or stalls.
Because sometimes, building something great doesn’t mean being flashy.
It means becoming “the most boring company” - one that simply does what it promises, over and over again, and delivers real value.
This was a conversation grounded in experience, not theory.
Because in the end, building a brand isn’t just about being seen.
It’s about being trusted, chosen, and relied on, consistently.

Two weeks ago, we showed that South Africans still experience an average of 6–9 power outages per month — even with 300+ days of no load shedding.
Today, we've launched the municipality lookup tool.
Curious what power outages look like in your area? Now you can check: https://t.co/ecNCPfRJZW
Search any of the 57+ municipalities we cover and see your area's outage profile — how often, how long, and how it compares to the national average. ⚡

Disconnect between power generation, delivery growing – report
Over 91,00 recorded power outages in one year. And that’s not load shedding ⚡
That’s what our 2025 Energy Resilience Report picked up through real-time data from thousands of solar and battery systems across South Africa, moments when the grid simply didn’t deliver power to homes and businesses.
On average, households experienced 6–9 outages every month, with each interruption lasting about 12.1 hours. More than half (58.1%) stretched beyond 8 hours.
So while headlines point to progress in generation, the day-to-day experience tells a different story, one of long, unplanned interruptions that still shape how people live and work.
As Wetility Co-founder and Group President Ikenna Oguguo notes, it comes down to two realities happening at once: improving generation, and persistent local breakdowns - and for customers, only one thing matters in the end: whether electricity is actually there when it’s needed.
In this Engineering News feature, we break down what the data is really showing and why it matters more than ever.⚡

For consumers, load shedding never stopped – Wetility
In this Moneyweb article, insights from our 2025 Energy Resilience Report show that despite reduced load shedding, South Africans are still experiencing frequent, long and unpredictable outages across the country.
Based on real-world data from our national network of solar and battery systems, the report provides a clearer picture of how often outages happen, how long they last, and how they differ by region - helping households and businesses understand the true reliability of the grid.
For customers, this insight matters. It helps you plan better, size your energy needs correctly, and stay powered through outages with greater certainty.⚡

Earth Hour is a pause - a moment to reflect on our planet and how we use energy.
It reminds us that energy matters, not only how we use it, but where it comes from.
Switching off for one hour shows care for the planet, but solar allows that impact to continue every day.
Wetility’s solar solutions provide reliable, sustainable energy that helps reduce your footprint without compromise.
Together, we can power homes and protect our planet, one home at a time. ⚡

South Africans still lose power 6–9 times a month — even without load shedding ⚡
In a MyBroadband feature, we share insights from the Wetility 2025 Energy Resilience Report, which shows that outages remain frequent and unpredictable despite more than 300 days without load shedding.
As Wetility Co-founder and Group President Ikenna Oguguo highlights, generation stability is improving but localised grid failures mean the real question is no longer about supply, but delivery.
