Why do salmon need snow? Salmon need cold water that has a lot of oxygen. The warmer the water, the less oxygen it can hold. A smaller snowpack in the mountains, and heavier rains in fall and winter mean less snowmelt in the summer to keep streams cool. https://t.co/MJ6WMGD2SV
