Massive “thank you” to @BBCR1 and its listeners for voting @DefectedRecords as Label of the Year for the 2nd consecutive year. Respect! Looking forward to seeing you all soon x
What an incredible few days in the Masai Mara accompanying George & Arielle on a mini-moon at Mahali Mzuri. Shout out to Paula for pushing many boundaries and facing her fears, to Kas who is literally the best guide in the World and to all those animals for allowing us to get up close & personal in their natural habitats. What a few days 🇰🇪
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Manchester, London, and Dubai to ring in 2025. Three incredible events capped off what was an unforgettable 2024 – we couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate with you all.
Fabric was my personal favourite club of all time in my early years as a raver.
When I first walked through those iconic doors on the opening party, it was clear Fabric wasn’t just a nightclub – it was a cultural statement. From Room 1’s bodysonic bass to countless unforgettable nights spent dancing, learning, and connecting, Fabric has shaped my love for electronic music and community.
That’s why I’m so proud to announce Defected’s very first night at Fabric on 7th March 2025. This collaboration bridges the legacy of two music institutions, creating a space where history meets the future of house music.
To mark the occasion, I’m sharing reflections from my two latest Wessays, diving deep into the shifts shaping nightlife and culture:
✨ The Shifting Sands of Nightlife
⚡ Reinventing the Clubbing Experience
🛠️ Sustainability and Affordability in Nightlife
🌱 Fostering Community in the Digital Era
📚 Educate and Empower the Next Generation
💪 Safeguarding the Future of Nightlife
+ more
This event is a moment to celebrate Fabric, and to reflect on how we can adapt to keep the spirit of nightlife alive. Whether you're a seasoned clubber (like me!) or a first-timer, this night will be one for the books.
See you on the dancefloor, just next to my spot behind the Room 1 DJ booth. 🖤

This space is dedicated to sharing reflections, sparking conversations, and diving deep into topics that matter to me, Defected, and our wider community.
For the first Wessay, I’m exploring culture – its evolution, challenges, and impact in an ever-changing world. From my travels across four continents to the dancefloors that connect us all, this piece captures some of the key ideas shaping how we approach music, leadership, and growth.
Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll find in my first post:
✨ The Changing Lens of Culture
💭 Nostalgia and Generational Divide
🎶 Redefining Culture at Defected
🌍 Leading Through Change
📈 Rethinking Success
🌱 Embracing Personal and Professional Growth
🙏 Gratitude and Transformation
This isn’t just a monologue – it’s an invitation. Whether you’re an artist, fan, or industry peer, I’d love to hear your thoughts and spark a dialogue that helps us reimagine the future together.
