@WallStreetMav Visa and Mastercard don’t make any money on credit card interest rates. That’s the bank issuer who’s taking the credit risk for the consumer. Visa and Mastercard make money on the swipe fees (interchange). Banks make their $$ on the credit card debt and a piece of the swipe fee
@TheRealEstateG6 So you made money (invested $3mm and took out $7mm at sale), but then had to lock it up for the duration of the CMBS term? I don’t see why CBMS investors would be entitled to all $14mm of principal.
@TheRealEstateG6 I get that the investor is entitled to the interest stream off the $14mm in treasuries, but wouldn’t you still get the $7mm additional principal back upon maturity?
@kale_abe@kale_abe CPI data doesn’t include house purchases though… just apartment rent and the assumed rent that house owners think their house would command if rented, which is often understated when people don’t realize their home value has increased 40% over the last 12-18 months
@kale_abe I know $3b of btc sounds like a lot, but isn’t that only half of 1% of Bitcoin’s current market cap? Obviously has an impact, but that’s a relatively small holding
