@wenchhaver@zodberg@anarkiselton I was 9 when this was released , but if I remember that was one of the first game women played in mass. "If you buy this and play it with your gf , you can introduce her a roleplay scenario based on your common experience" is a decent sale pitch.
@wenchhaver@zodberg@anarkiselton That specific ad don't sell you big breasts, it sells you fun time with your gf. As for the ad, eh, I would probably have checked a review first (which was as much of an ad).
@wenchhaver@zodberg@anarkiselton Sound like retcon considering the official pin-up renders and the ending of 2. Series always leaned towards the "evil male gaze" even on the ps1.
@zodberg@wenchhaver@anarkiselton You could not actually represent a game in a still image. Current video game ads are just the cover picture, which is infinitely lamer and isn't even better in any way to show what the game is.
@zodberg@wenchhaver@anarkiselton She was most known for being a sex symbol at the time. And Tomb rider outside of was all about the momentum and control palette, so hard to put that in an eyecatcher ad.
@erstatiz His "Throwing eveyrthing at the game until something sticks" was probably relayed by his entourage to some Quartering equivalent in Japan to be picked by the mainstream after. Can't see Japan caring about fucking AC outside of that.
@LeftIsRight101 @PearlteaRizzy You already did that , and now stuff sucks so hard that people now play chinese gachas instead and complain it's not woke enough, continuing the cycle.
