Money advice nobody told you: The only way to make a lot of money is to create a lot of value. No one hands out money. No one is going to pay you just because they like you or think you're cool. That's not the way the world works. Money earned is a direct byproduct of value created. Create value, receive value. If money is the goal, value has to be the focus. This isn't just some vague idea: The only way to get rich is to create an enormous amount of value for others, and capture a small portion of that along the way. It's not talking about the thing, it's not brainstorming about the thing, it's not asking about the thing, it's not thinking about the thing. The only way to create value is by doing the thing. And if you don't know where to start, look around you. Customers, colleagues, bosses, shareholders, employees. Every single one of them has a problem. What problems can you solve for the people around you? Figure them out, solve them, scale that solution. That's how you make money.
We are a one car family that we own outright.
It isn't flashy.
It doesn't turn heads.
It also doesn't cost us ยฃ500 a month though.
In the UK, we are obsessed with looking rich.
We sign up for PCP deals to drive Range Rovers we can't afford, to impress people we don't like, at traffic lights we are stuck at.
That ยฃ500 monthly payment isn't a car cost.
It is an opportunity cost.
If you invested that ยฃ500 into the Nasdaq 100 $EQQQ or S&P 500 $VUSA for the 3 year term of the finance deal.
You wouldn't have a depreciating asset at the end.
You would have roughly ยฃ21,000 in your Freedom Fund, assuming 8% return.
Do that for 3 car cycles, 9 years.
You have ยฃ75,000+.
Rich is a high income spent on liabilities.
Wealth is income stored in assets.
Drive the modest car.
Own the expensive portfolio.
Hot take: Constantly checking stock prices is a waste of time for long-term investors.
It's like checking if your plant grew every hour. The growth happens whether you stare at it or not.
Focus on the soil (the business), not the daily sunlight (market noise).

Huge congratulations to everyone at Palace, turned up on and off the pitch. On it, fresher, sharper and more tenacious, played the tactical game superbly and put a ponderous Villa to the sword when needed.
3 superb finishes befitting the Wembley stage.
Villa simply didn't match Palace's tenacity at all, and in English football, you don't do that, you're pushing water up a hill. Villa played a European cagey second leg ( first half especially) when toe to toe at tempo was needed.
Good luck in the Final to @CEO4TAG and everyone at Palace. Well done ๐๐ฝ
@whulegends_XI Yes greatest night, 15 years old, in the North Bank, right behind the Goal, 1/3 of the way up....
Loved going to the Ground during mid-late seventies, early eighties
Still got my programmes....

If you play football and you don't want to pick the ball up and run at people like PSG do, you've no business playing.
A welcome change from the robotic, 5 yard pass-devoid of personality cult that some managers have inflicted on the sport in recent years.
Football is about entertaining people, making them stand up and get out of their seats. It's literally why people go to games, hoping to see players do things they can't.
Refreshing.
