Do you need an external set of eyes to participate in design reviews for electronics / embedded / RF systems?
A good review process can uncover issues before the next phase when dealing with them is much more expensive.
A truly beautiful moment. After the kids finished their questions, the astronaut was so moved that she teared up following the students' applause.
HamTV exists specifically to fully share wonderful moments like these.

We’ve been counting down 🚀
On March 30 at 6:20 a.m., a satellite carrying a payload designed by Valpo students will launch aboard a SpaceX mission.
From classroom to cosmos — this is hands-on learning in action.
This book on high accuracy electronics is awesome.
I complied it (with permission) from the author Christopher Daykin's various PDF notes just after he sadly passed away. He wanted to share this with the world.

The next generation of scientists launched a giant (800g!) weather balloon today! In coordination with the Dream Big Program, local students designed payloads to send different materials into near space! Now, we must remove the payloads from the trees... Any suggestions? 😄🧪🎈
@lemire From one perspective, a lot is left "on the table" by choosing to be and remain a professor. But there is a counter balance of value in having a wide range of skills and deciding yourself when to build vs buy. At home and at work.
Thanks for the shout out, @NWSIWX! We appreciate all that you do to keep us safe, especially on National Weatherperson's Day! Don't forget to thank your local meteorologist today 😀
Valpo is one of the very few schools in the country that offer a free Dale Carnegie course to students while they are enrolled in the College of Engineering. Students learn about public speaking, time management, dealing with stress, and building relationships.
@RepThomasMassie Haven't seen a winched variant, like the concept. Mine has a balanced descending wheel lever to raise and roll in one motion. Spring project list added

Congratulations to @ARISS_Chair Frank Bauer, KA3HDO!
Frank was awarded by @ISS_CASIS at the ISSRDC conference last week for his work with ARISS.
It says in part, "Inspiring the next generation and bringing individuals around the world together through the use of ham radio."
📌Find us at the @SmallSat, Monday, August 5, & Tuesday, August 6, in the Life Sciences Building, room LBS220. @LibreSpace_Fnd's Core Contributors, Dimitris Moustroufis, @surligas & @whiteaudio, will be there to talk about #opensource#spacetech.
