Just a passing observation, but if we had a free of means test Age Pension like New Zealand, it would cost us an extra $64 billion roughly. Although to be fair if we had their tax treatment of pensions that would be reduced i.e. they pay more tax than we do and higher GST.
I will withhold my broader thoughts on what appears to have happened here to see if the Coroner gives a public update. But irrespective of the contributory aspects here: this, and events like it, are not accidents. Prams do not cause tragedies
