I had been to group lessons to start to learn to play golf and it was my husband who encouraged me to join a club, saying that I would find other ladies to play with. 1/4 #WhyIGolf @englandgolf

I was made to feel so very welcome and now regularly play in the ladies events, which have included the dressing up for the Christmas event.

When I retired I joined @WhiteleafGC as an Academy member. I gave golf a go and got hooked. Members are friendly and the course is beautifully kept. Plenty to occupy me from daily roll ups, matches and social events. #whyigolf @EnglandGolf

Congratulations to our immediate Men's Past Captain, Stephen Johnston, on achieving his first hole-in-one on the par 3 14th hole. Clearly he's no longer feeling the pressure of captaincy! Well done.
