In the STEM lab, students were challenged to build a structure that extends past the edge of a table using nothing but wooden blocks. It was great practice in patience, teamwork, and design!

The SCA officers had their quarterly luncheon with Mr. Richardson today including special guest Mrs. Bush. They discussed everything from the school dance to offering to help with lost and found. It was a very productive meeting.

Our Librarian, Mrs. Darling, invited author, Denise Lawson, to come speak with our school today. Accompanying her was the retired sled dog who is the star of her book Black Bear Goes to Washington. Everyone really enjoyed the assembly!

Always good to see @FCPSSupt always supporting @fcpsnews. I also had the distinct pleasure of meeting the newly elected SCA at White Oaks....an all female board, I might add.

Special shout out to the incredibly talented @SMosios, art teacher extraordinaire at White Oaks who designed this inspiring wall tile mosaic project. Each student designed a tile that was strategically placed into the mosaic. Truly amazing.
