Has anyone performed a racist act due to a negative impression of a culture or race or even gender from a Disney movie before? Personally I used to dance like the Amerindians in Peter Pan as a child and was told it was a offensive by a native friend in elementary school #lesson11
What i took from the movie was that I should be very careful in what I show children as movies and entertainment because it can have a lasting negative impression of certain races or cultures. #lesson11
I notice that there are stronger female roles in disney now then lets say 20 years ago, for example frozen, have two strong female characters who did not need love with a man but more love among sisters and family. #lesson11
I think because disney is profit driven corp. it will target specific people to watch and advertise their movies, although I think they are stepping down more these days #lesson11

The middle east seems like a dangerous place to be a woman, although woman can be treated the same way here, but the difference is we have laws that protect them as well as officers and judges to enforce the laws. #gocanada#lesson10
Honestly did not know their were this many waves of feminism, only saw it as one long wave with progression. I was way off, getting in touch with my feminine side lol #lesson10#yougogirls
