In-town pool report #6 — gaggle quotes pt 2
Q: Do you plan to go campaign in Maine?
"Well we're going for a number of it's a lot of work. I will tell you, it's a lot of it's a lot of travel. But I love the people. We're getting great crowds. They have a line in Iowa that's miles long right now, trying to get into the arena."
Q: You're spending a lot of time and money in Texas
"Well, I think that we have the greatest attorney general running in the history of Texas, and he's running against a guy they call him a freak. I mean, that's his nickname. He is a freak, and Texas cannot have Talafreako. So what Texas has is the greatest attorney general of the history, and one of the greatest attorney generals in the country, and that's what you want to be your senator."
Q: What have you heard about DOJ investigating Corey Lewandowski?
"I heard something about it, but I don't know exactly what it is. All I know is I want my people to be honest, and if they're not going to be honest, they have to be prosecuted. I don't know about specifically, but because I view it, people are not honest. They're stealing from me as president. They're stealing for me, so I want my people to be honest. And if they're not honest, I'll have my DOJ go and do whatever they have to do."
Q: do you want the investigation to proceed?
"Well, I guess I could stop anything. Look, if my people are not I have no idea what he did. I've just heard about it as well. I want the people to work for this administration to be 100%"
Q: What does Calley Means' resignation from HHS mean for MAGA? Is it dead?
"Don't know him very well at all. You're talking about?"
Q: Calley Means, HHS advisor to Secretary Kennedy
"No we're doing great."
Q: followup on Lewandowski investigation
"I would say this. If somebody is dishonest, I consider that not only against the country but against me. So I will never, I will never do anything to stop a prosecution if somebody is dishonest."
Q: Are you worried about Mississippi?
"What's wrong with it. I'm just hearing about it from you."
Q: Are you worried about losing the Senate seat?
"What are the poll numbers? Cindy Hyde-Smith's been very popular. If I need to you know I won Mississippi as, like I did just about everything else, in a landslide. So if I need to get her over the top, I would go there. She's great. Cindy Hyde-Smith's great. So I'm pretty booked up as you see, but if I need to go, I'd go."
Q: Will you only endorse Vice President Vance if Republicans hold the majorities?
"Where do you get that idea? I never even thought of it now because we just we have too much time to be thinking about that. It's a long way off."
Q: another followup on Lewandowski
"I just heard about it a while ago, but I want my people to be honest with you. If he's honest, that's good. If he's not, he'll have to pay a price."
Q: how has the Iran war impacted the elections?
"Well in one way, they love it because I'm doing what should have been done by other presidents, and another way maybe they don't. It's there's a price to pay, which I knew immediately when I did it, but we can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon. I mean, in one way, people probably don't love it, but many people, many great patriots, really love it. This should have been done a long time ago by other presidents. The Iran War, and we've knocked the hell out of them, and we may do it a little bit further."

In-town pool report #5 — gaggle quotes Pt. 1
Questions are paraphrased…POTUS DIRECT QUOTES in bold
Pt. 2 to follow
Q: Amy Acton hasn't spoken to her mother in nearly 50 years. Why should anyone listen to what she has to say?
"Well, I know nothing about it. All I know is the mother said very bad things about Acton, who I guess is running for governor against Vivek. And all I can say is Vivek is great. And I know one thing: if my mother said bad things about me, it would be a major news story, that's for sure. So I don't know what it is, but I guess the mother said very bad things about the one who's running for governor, and I think you have to take that seriously."
Q: Is there anything in a campaign ad that should be off limits?
I know one thing: if my mother said that about me, it would be you would have hit goals. You would have been very happy about it. So I know nothing about it other than the mother said horrible things about a person that's running for governor of a great state, right? A great state, and if it's even a little bit true, you don't want her as governor.
Q: Ohio Republicans have called for the ad to come down. Why are you defending it?
"That's her opinion. I'm defending it because I know that if that ad were about my mother, you would love it. You would love every inch of it. And what's happened is the press has teamed up because he's a Republican, and they've tried to make it like it's a horrible thing. This is a mother saying very bad things about her daughter, and I don't know why that should be shielded. The only problem is the press has decided to unify and act like it's a horrible thing. It's horrible for her, and I told Vivek, I said, well, if it were about you, or about especially about me. If Mary McLeod, my mother, Mary McLeod Trump said that about me, you'd have it as your number one story."
Q: On Ukraine, Zelensky said these new Russian strikes overnight are proof that nothing's changed with Putin. That he doesn't want peace. How do you see it?
"Well, we'll see how it works out. That's been happening a lot."
Q: [Inaudible regarding Michigan] Any thoughts on how that's going to work out for Democrats?"
"Well, I won Michigan by a lot. It's a great state. I've done a lot for them, the Air Force base, and everything else. And I think we're going to do very well in Michigan. I really do."
Q: [inaudible]
"Well, if you ask me that same question about, let's say, my sister, I would say no. She said not to my knowledge. That tells you a lot, right there. No, she's. I've never been a big fan of hers. I'll be honest. Let's see how it all works out. But that statement tells you a lot."
Q: On POTUS' call to Elon Musk regarding Starlink in Ukraine
"Well, I don't want to say, but I know it was a very interesting situation. So I don't want to comment one way or the other. But my relationship with Elon is a very good one. Go ahead. Yeah, I don't want to comment on it. You know, whether I called or whether somebody else called doesn't make any difference. I guess the bottom line, he put it back. Any other questions? Go ahead. Say hello."
Q: on settlements with Camp Lejune soldiers
"If they can, yeah."
Q: Why not do so now, sir?
"I think if they can do it reasonably, they should settle. If they can't, they have to just go, but we want to take care of a lot of soldiers. If the soldiers were affected and it was it was a proper situation, we want to take care of it. We want to take care of our soldiers."
Q: Is that all dependent on the midterm results?
"Well, because if we're not there, then somebody else is going to have to settle it. So I can't speak for another administration, so if we do badly, or if the people that we need surrounding us can't get it done, because you have a lot of congressmen up, you have a lot of senators up, you have a lot of people involved in that whole situation. So if the Republicans don't do well, I would say that maybe they won't get their money."
Q: followup on his defense of Ramaswamy-Acton ad
"Well, I have no idea. I don't know the mother. I don't know her. I never heard of her until just recently, as somebody running for governor of Ohio. I can tell you this: if my mother ever made those statements? I have a mother. I had a mother who's up there right now, looking down. Mary McLeod Trump. If she ever made statements like that about me, you and your fake news station would have it front row center. You'd love it. What's happened is the press has ganged up on a woman making a horrible statement about her daughter, and I don't know why she should be shielded or the daughter should be shielded. Wait a minute. The mother made a horrible statement about the daughter. Said she was a dirty liar. She said she was a lot of different things. And I don't know why you're not allowed to say that. Gee, I know one thing. If my mother, who loved me, made those statements, you'd be the first one to be broadcasting, and you would have found nothing wrong with them. Amy Acton's mother said
horrible things about Amy Acton, and I don't know why you're not allowed to do that. You're not allowed to do broadcasting now. I'll say this: the press is ganged up because you hate it because that one ad should really win. If what the mother said about the daughter is half right, she has no right even running for the governor of Ohio."
Q: What about what Acton has said about her mother?
"I don't know what the daughter said. I don't know."
Q: outlines allegations against Acton's mother.
"When did she make that statement, just recently?"
Q: In the 1970's
"I have no idea. All I know is Amy Acton's mother said horrible things about Amy Acton, calling her a liar and other things and unreliable. A lot of very bad things, and I say that she's fair game. And I know one thing: if it were my mother, I'd be fair game, and you know that, and you know that well. You're trying to help Amy Acton get elected. The press has teamed up to help Amy Atkin get elected, and that's all it is. What the mother said is terrible. From the standpoint that I wouldn't want somebody like that to be the governor of a great state."
Q: [inaudible]
"The polling company just said that the numbers were fake, and I haven't had an apology from the New York Times, but you saw that polling company was a fake poll, and the New York Times uses that polling company. So, to the best of my knowledge, they have not apologized."
Q: do you think Republicans can keep the House and the Senate?
"Sure, but we'll see. When I run, we get almost 50 percent more voters. So, if I can get my voters out, we're going to win. If we can't get the voters out, I guess not. Typically, the the president of you know Republican, Democrat, whatever doesn't do well. I say this: if my call, if my people come out even a little bit, [inaudible] But I think the number is 49 or 50, 50% So when I run 50% more people come in, I guess that's a god for me. I'd like to see if I can get a lot of them out now. If we do that, we'll win easily in a landslide."

Iowa Wins Big Under President Trump: Lower Taxes, New Investment, and Stronger Rural Communities
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
President Donald J. Trump returns to Iowa today to highlight a clear record of results for workers, families, seniors, farmers, and rural communities. Under President Trump and Republican leadership, Iowans are seeing historic tax relief, major private investment, stronger rural healthcare, and direct support for the producers who feed the country.
Iowa Wins Big Under President Trump: Lower Taxes, New Investment, and Stronger Rural Communities
Delivering Historic Tax Relief for Iowans
President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts are delivering real relief to Hawkeye State workers, families, farmers, and seniors.
• No Tax on Social Security: Approximately 600,000 Iowa seniors benefit from the new senior deduction, with the average senior expected to pay zero federal taxes on Social Security benefits.
• Bigger Refunds: Iowa taxpayers saw average refunds of $3,365 in 2026.
• Protecting Jobs and Wages: The Working Families Tax Cuts safeguarded 57,000 Iowa jobs, $10 billion in state GDP, and $5 billion in workers’ wages.
• Lowering Taxes for Family Farms: The Working Families Tax Cuts made the increased death tax exemption permanent and indexed it for inflation, helping keep generational farms in the family. The package also made 100% expensing permanent, doubled the Section 179 limit, made the 20% small business deduction permanent, expanded crop insurance, and increased reference prices for the first time in over a decade.
• Expanding Workforce Grants: In August 2026, the Trump Administration approved the nation’s first Workforce Pell Grant program, allowing students at Iowa Central Community College to use Pell dollars for the Emergency Medical Technician program.
Standing with Iowa Farmers and Producers
President Trump’s America First agenda is delivering direct support, lower costs, and expanded markets to the farmers and producers who feed the country.
• Year-Round E15 and Stronger Biofuels: In 2025, the Trump Administration cleared summer sales of E15 nationwide, waived all federal barriers to E10, and implemented the highest-ever renewable fuel volume requirements.
• Historic Production: In 2025, Iowa farmers posted the state’s second-highest corn yield, a record corn production (2.77 billion bushels), a record soybean yield, and its third-highest soybean production.
• Direct Relief: USDA has delivered more than $833 million to 57,000 Iowa farmers through the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program and more than $867 million in Farmer Bridge Assistance payments. The Trump Administration also announced an $8 billion Harvest Fuel Relief program to help address temporary higher input costs and market disruptions.
• Reducing Costs: President Trump suspended certain phosphate fertilizer duties, designated phosphate and potash as critical minerals, extended a Jones Act waiver to improve fertilizer logistics, and launched the $500 million FIELDS Program to expand domestic fertilizer production. The Administration also
temporarily allowed off-road dyed diesel for highway use and deferred the federal excise tax to lower fuel costs.
• Expanding Market Access: Ethanol exports reached a record high in 2025, up 13% from the year prior and 18% since President Trump returned to office, while U.S. food and agricultural exports have risen under expanded global market access.
• Cutting Red Tape: President Trump’s “Right to Repair” effort allows farmers to lawfully repair their equipment, saving thousands of dollars per repair. The Administration also fixed diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) system issues that were forcing farm equipment and trucks to derate or shut down.
Strengthening Rural Healthcare Across Iowa
President Trump is directing targeted resources to expand access and modernize care in Iowa’s rural communities.
• Rural Health Transformation: Iowa secured $209 million in first-year funding through the Working Families Tax Cuts’ Rural Health Transformation Program to expand clinical services, strengthen the rural health workforce, modernize technology and infrastructure, and improve coordination.
• Modernizing Local Facilities: Funding from the program is supporting upgrades that include an MRI at Lucas County Health Center, a PET/CT system and new providers at Mahaska Health, a robotic bronchoscopy system at North Iowa Medical Center, expanded prenatal care at Sioux Center Health, a new CT scanner at Washington County Hospital, and a radiation oncology center at Wayne County Hospital.
Unleashing Private Investment and High-Quality Jobs
President Trump’s pro-growth, America First agenda is driving major private investment and job creation across Iowa.
• Mesabi Metallics announced a $15 billion investment to build a major steelmaking complex in Lee County, creating thousands of construction jobs and at least 1,750 permanent positions.
• John Deere announced a $20 billion U.S. investment, including new high-horsepower tractor assembly lines at its Waterloo plant.
• Google announced a $7 billion investment in cloud and Super Intelligence infrastructure in Iowa, including a new data center in Cedar Rapids and expansion in Council Bluffs.
• Kraft Heinz announced a $3 billion investment in its U.S. manufacturing operations, including its Davenport distribution center.
• JBS USA announced a $135 million investment in a production facility in Perry, expected to create hundreds of jobs.
• Electrical Power Products announced a $42 million expansion of its engineered-to-order electrical power control and protection systems manufacturing facility in Des Moines, creating 200 jobs.
• Greater Machining and Manufacturing announced a $16 million expansion in Independence, creating 100 jobs.
• Webster City Custom Meats announced a $2.5 million expansion of its meat processing facility in Webster City.
• S&J Tube announced a $2.4 million expansion in Wapello.
• Protecting Ratepayers: Under President Trump’s Ratepayer Protection Pledge, data center developers partnering with Alliant Energy, including QTS, must cover 100% of the energy and infrastructure costs for their facilities while supporting a five-year rate freeze for Iowans.
• Restarting Duane Arnold: The Trump Administration announced a loan of up to $1.9 billion to NextEra to restart the Duane Arnold Energy Center, bringing Iowa’s only nuclear plant back online with 615 megawatts of baseload power enough for nearly 500,000 homes.
Honoring and Supporting Iowa Veterans
President Trump is delivering targeted resources that strengthen care, housing stability, and prevention services for the veterans who have served our country.
• In October 2026, the VA awarded funding to Iowa community organizations providing suicide prevention services to veterans.
• In February 2026, the Iowa City VA Health Care System announced infrastructure upgrades, including a renovation of its dialysis unit, to support safe and effective patient care.
• In September 2025, the VA awarded funding to five Iowa organizations to help veterans who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
President Trump and Republican leadership are delivering lower taxes for working families and family farms, major private investment and high-quality jobs, stronger rural healthcare, critical support for farmers, and real resources for veterans. Iowans now face a choice: continue this record of results that puts workers, seniors, farmers, and communities first or return to the higher taxes, open borders, and failed policies that put America last.

New Analysis: President Trump’s Pro-Growth Policies Ignite Manufacturing Resurgence
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Analysis Confirms President Trump’s Pro-Growth Policies Are Driving American Manufacturing Resurgence
President Donald J. Trump’s America First agenda is revitalizing American manufacturing, delivering historic investments, driving up wages, and igniting a blue-collar BOOM.
After the Biden Administration lost more than 200,000 American manufacturing jobs in its final two years due to reckless Democrat polices, President Trump is delivering on his promise to put American workers first.
The results speak for themselves. New analysis by the Council of Economic Advisors (CEA) reports that wages are rising faster than inflation, domestic manufacturing is expanding, and the blue-collar jobs lost under the Biden Administration are rightly returning back to U.S. soil.
Wages are outpacing inflation under President Trump, reversing the $3,000 annual decline in real wages under Biden. Since President Trump took office, blue-collar workers are seeing even bigger gains: manufacturing wages are up$2,000 and construction wages $2,800.
Demand for factory construction workers is surging, hiring rising, and layoffs down over the past year. Overtime pay is also up thanks to President Trump’s no-tax-on-overtime policy, workers are now keeping more of what they earn.
The benefits of President Trump’s pro-growth agenda and successful tariff policies extend beyond factory floors. This resurgence is strengthening America’s position in critical industries essential to our national security, including aerospace, aircraft equipment, metals, and natural gas and petroleum production.
A stronger manufacturing sector means more opportunities for American workers, higher wages, and business expansion that supports Main Street economies who support communities across the country.
BY THE NUMBERS:
• AMERICAN MANUFACTURING JOBS SURGING: Manufacturing employment is up 72,000 in 2026, including a 101,000 job increase in durable goods, reversing losses of more than 200,000 manufacturing jobs during the Biden Administration’s last two years. Since President Trump took office, construction employment has grown by 100,000, including more than 111,000 additional factory construction jobs.
• RISE IN ANNUAL WAGES: Inflation-adjusted wages for blue-collar manufacturing workers have risen an average of $2,400 more per year since President Trump took office. Construction workers’ real wages are up $3,800.
• HIGHEST BUSINESS GROWTH IN 5 YEARS: U.S. business growth has reached its highest level in more than five years, while manufacturing expands and American goods exports are on track for a record year.
• NO TAX ON OVERTIME: American construction workers are keeping more of what they earn thanks to No tax on overtime, with more than 29 million Americans claiming the deduction this filing season.
• TRILLIONS IN INVESTMENTS SECURED: President Trump has secured trillions of dollars in investment commitments across the United States, supporting domestic production, factory expansion, and American jobs.
• SMALL BUSINESS GROWTH: Small businesses and local economies are feeling the benefits of President Trump’s manufacturing boom.
• Ketchie Inc, a precision machine company located in Concord, North Carolina, grew its workforce 25% after buying a dual 5-axis machining center, an EDM machine, and a cylindrical grinder. The company says it held off on those purchases until OBBB passed.
• Jergens, a manufacturer in Ohio, says full expensing for factories led to its latest expansion in Illinois. The CEO says 83% of hourly workers now volunteer for overtime under the no-tax-on-overtime provision.

VP Pool Report #6 - rally over, rolling to airport
Vance began his rally remarks at 11:07 am CT by throwing his support behind Sen. Ricketts and Gov. Pillen, who are both up for reelection.
The VP announced $1.3 billion in “investment in domestic fertilizer manufacturing,” including new plants planned in Nebraska.
The investment will make a “major difference for families across the state,” Vance said.
Vance told a story about traveling through Ohio with his six-year-old son Vivek on this trip, and seeing "Vivek for Ohio" signs backing the state's Republican gubernatorial nominee, Vivek Ramaswamy. Vance said his son saw them and said, "'Daddy, I do like Ohio.'" Vance said he replied, "buddy, it's a different guy."
Vance returned to the election and touted the Trump administration's record on the economy and immigration. Vance said he was "proudest" of the administration's work to close the border and curb illegal immigration.
"That is maybe the single accomplishment of many that I'm most proudest of, Vance said.
Near the end of his speech Vance was interrupted by someone shouting "JD '28!" Vance responded, "No sir, let's focus on the election" next month.
VP paused his speech soon after for what appeared to be a medical emergency with someone on the riser behind him. Vance led the crowd in prayer while emergency personnel attended the person. He then walked off the stage at 11:40 am and into the crowd behind the riser to check on the situation.
Vance took the podium again at 11:42 am and said the woman was doing all right. Vance wrapped up and left the stage at 11:43 am.
Pool was told attendance was 950.
