You make these same choices when you don’t shop at expensive stores and where/use expensive brands. It’s exactly the same thing. Can you afford X amount of dollars to be X item instead of cash.

You’re missing the point entirely.

The point is getting an ID, which is the only requirement in question, is NOT hard. Inconvenient? Yes. A bad DMV experience? Nearly every time. But let’s not confuse annoyance avoidance with “making things difficult”.

The very people in question are curiously astute when it comes to filling out welfare applications and social media accounts and the like…you need an ID to get a cell phone, electricity in your house/apartment, water service…there are countless other things you need an ID for that the people you virtue signal for conveniently ignore to get people like you riled up over voter ID.
