@NiallHarbison I just cannot get my mind around her old life and the condition she was found in. Poor girl, it breaks my heart as to what she must have suffered and how abandoned she must have felt.😢😢😢😢💔💔💔
The latest photo of QLD LNP deputy premier, Jarrod Lord Pocketsquare Bleijie with a sodden Karl Stefanovic draped all over him to the satirical tones of Thin Lizzy flogging “The Boys are Back in Town” tells me more about Bleijie than he wants me to know but his narcissistic ego drunk on power just can’t help itself.
Bleijie has waited his whole life for this. The little boy with the coiffed hair and the strong religious leanings has been intensely focused on elevating himself to a position of power and control - & will do everything he can to keep himself there. This isn’t about governance to Bleijie. This is about treating governance as a business model & a mode for wielding power & profiteering for himself & the wealthy donors who put him there.
While Crisafulli remains premier for now - it is Bleijie and Janetzki who hold the real power in the QLD LNP government. It’s only a matter of time before Crisafulli’s indiscretions catch up with him and he is considered more of a liability than an asset to the QLD LNP.
Meanwhile, Bleijie is doing his best impression of the ghost of Sir Joh’s past as he jackboots his way on his power trip. He has aligned himself with powerful figures who expect a payload at the expense of every Queenslander who isn’t a wealthy donor and isn’t aligned with the QLD LNP for monetary gain.
This has been planned by the LNP for years. Before the 2024 QLD election the LNP spent the majority of their time in secret meetings with mining companies and wealthy donors making deals as to how best to funnel profit and power to their backers post election.
Hence, now we have copious numbers of appointees to government and special positions who were at some point ex LNP MPs and/or aligned in the past with the LNP and/or have donated to them. That’s why we have the QLD LNP government cutting funding and services to housing, to health, to infrastructure and to education - while spending up big on self-promotion, propaganda, private developers and an Olympic stadium that they said that they wouldn’t be building before the 2024 election. QLD are now in more debt than ever as the QLD LNP look for new ways to funnel profit while promoting themselves as the perfect govt.
Bleijie has also been busy aligning himself to Gina Rinehart. Not that this was ever in any doubt - Hancock Prospecting donated $325,000 to the QLD LNP pre-2024 election campaign. That is one donation that we know about. Rinehart’s gas company, Sinex Energy, have now secured major gas supply agreements tied to QLD state energy agreements. Surprise! 🙄 Rinehart and Bleijie have also appeared together at a recent sporting event. This is not the first time that they have met since the 2024 election. Bleijie appears to have emerged as another potential Rinehart favourite - along with Hanson.
One has to ask why would Rinehart be courting the QLD LNP and Bleijie when she has dropped all support for the federal coalition in favour of Pauline Hanson.
I believe that Rinehart is hedging her far RW bets. The QLD LNP are not a party of moderates. They are a party of extremism and have shown their contempt for human rights via their treatment of Indigenous people since they have been elected. While they have put their anti-abortion stance on the backburner, it remains festering in the background amongst discontented MPs who have been gagged by Crisafulli from speaking out in favour of anti-abortion legislation.
According to news reports in QLD, the QLD LNP have also been pushing through controversial laws in parliament that have escaped scrutiny by the general public. These laws effectively give the QLD LNP more power by removing the power of the people.
This is a government that is increasingly intent on emulating something akin to a dictatorship. The bad old days of Joh Bjelke-Petersen are making a comeback and Bleijie is all in to make it happen.
Take a good look at what is happening in QLD. This is what Rinehart wants for the entire country.
This screenshot is from the Blue Mountains Political Forum - and depicts the SMH suggesting that Pauline Hanson may have used party funds to pay for a five-star luxury hotel- and keep rooms vacant for some time while she flew to Italy with mining billionaire Gina Rinehart. It has been suggested that the party funds come from the $5 million “war chest” that Hanson leeched out of thousands of small donations from her “battler” base. The “fire the liar” campaign has recently bolstered the party’s coffers.
Is Hanson living high on the hog on her “fact finding” soirées and using money raised from ordinary Australians who have been sucked into the Hanson-is-for-the-battler vortex while donating money to her party that they can barely afford?
Pretty sure James Ashby - who in 2017 faced major controversy after leaked recordings revealed him discussing plans to profit off candidates and taxpayer funds during the QLD election - alongside earlier and later political and legal funding scandals - might know a thing or two about the leeching of funding from ordinary Australians as a part of a recent high-profile fundraising campaign. I am not suggesting that he did in this instance - I am suggesting that he has discussed a similar strategy in the past.
James Ashby was then Hanson’s chief of staff in 2017. Now Ashby is party director of One Nation and unencumbered by having to answer to too many party funding questions directly. Although after this exposure it is quite likely that Hanson will either double down on “it’s none of the public’s business” or the expenses will miraculously show up legitimately somewhere down the line.
Considering One Nation have 3 years of missing audited financial statements to present in QLD by 18 August 2026 or face potential deregistration in QLD - I expect they will have their hands full with some spectacular creative accounting in the near future.
While Hanson has made it quite plain that she believes herself to be above scrutiny and can pick and choose who she answers to from the journalistic pool, she is not above the law in this country. Her recent comments regarding the judicial system would indicate that she would like to dismantle that system and be a law into herself - which reminds me again exactly which billionaire is feeding her this crappola.
Hanson is NOT for the battlers. She proves that every single day and has spent over 3 decades profiting from creating culture wars and enabling hate. She has a proven record in parliament of voting against battlers, against workers rights, against vulnerable minorities, against the disabled and against those on benefits - while at the same time voting FOR the rights of billionaires, big business and FOR more tax concessions for the wealthy.
Make it make sense that she cares about battlers while she persecutes them every single day and profits from them.
Dave Hughes ' latest spray. Oh fuck, he took Andrew Leigh @ALeighMP on- not a smart move, Hughesy. He has more smarts in his underpants than you have dry skin flaking off.
Dave Hughes latest blurt: "@labor pouring more taxpayer money into the public service to buy votes is an economic death spiral." - How to have amnesia and make a cock of yourself in public by Dave Hughes.
Why is @DHughesy so spectacularly wrong?
Dear Dave,
To save you any further public embarrassment, have a quick read of this before your next spray.
You've conveniently left out the Scott Morrison government's (Yes, #AngusTaylor was part of it) favourite accounting trick: sack public servants, then pay private consultants to do the exact same work for more money.
The 2021–22 APS Audit found $20.8 billion was spent BY LNP on outsourced labour - the equivalent of nearly 54,000 full-time staff.
That's not shrinking government. It's changing who gets the taxpayer money while increasing the bill.
That's the part Angus Taylor is hoping people forget.
So no, cupcake, this isn't "vote buying". It's replacing an expensive outsourcing model with public servants who deliver the same services at a lower cost.
Read that last sentence again, Hughesy.
Same services. Lower cost.
Now... about that bath. Throw in some Fairy Liquid, pretend it's bubble bath, and wash off whatever Sky News has been spraying on you.
Dave: You have been educated, again, by an elephant. 𓃰. Off you fuck.
Dave Hughes illogical, dimwitted, fact-free zone, latest rant, for context - Link in replies.
@NiallHarbison RIP darling Bear❤️ 💔💔💔
Thank you Niall and Happy Doggo team for giving Bear love and comfort in his final days and allowing him to cross the rainbow bridge with dignity. Run free sweet Bear, you best boy 💙💙💙
@cenkuygur One of your best I players has played all of his football in the UK.
As it stands he is eligible to play for USA but should have to play under the same rules as everyone else.
@cenkuygur Just an aside, Balogun has only lived in the USA as an infant. He was born there because his mother travelled to USA while pregnant and wasn’t cleared to return to UK to give birth. The very type of citizenship Trump is trying to end, a loophole he intends to close.
@cenkuygur Cenk, USA is not the only team issued a red card and has to deal with consequences. It isn’t bad sportsmanship of Belgium here, it’s bad sportsmanship to field a player after a red card has been issued. If you watch the incident it could have snapped that players ankle.
@davidpakmanshow Your dialogue is not matching the text displayed on the screen. You need to get that resolved as it will be misleading to those who can only watch 😬
@Baumann_Mac@SenatorSeanBell Couldn’t agree more. I’m tired of hearing migration levels are too high, has anyone looked at the hurdles migrants have to jump to be accepted into Australia?? We bring in skilled workers to fill the skill gaps. Get a grip - we need our skilled migrants.
