@KNorman1776@brutal_regime@MHTruthUltra Side note, democratic nations are also ruled by law(?) Rule of Law has nothing to do with the governance. They are separate matters.
America absolutely does not have rule of law though, Epstein class is evidence for that.
Though in fairness, no country truly does.
@KNorman1776@brutal_regime@MHTruthUltra US is (meant to be) a democracy through and through. The power is vested in the people. That is heavily emphasised in multiple sections of it. Even your right to have guns is so that you may fight a tyrannical government.
It is a Democratic Republic. They are not mutually exc.
@KNorman1776@brutal_regime@MHTruthUltra Of the People, By the People, For the People. Instrinsically Democratic.
What do you mean by it is possible to have in those laws no democratic processes at all? Most laws do not have democratic processes, they are laws, not policy.
Do you have any examples of what you mean?
Israeli settlers, brandishing American made M4s, detained me & other Americans on my trip to Palestine.
When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers & continued our detention.
They made a huge mistake.
You will be hearing more soon. https://t.co/rZw8bRAn64
@CryptoTice_ Interesting... Considering national legislation takes priority over EU legislation and most if not all nations reserve the right to adopt or amend the EU legislation before passing it into national legislation.
These 4 countries should not have been the outlier.
@KNorman1776@brutal_regime@MHTruthUltra The Constitution you are talking about literally enshrines demoratic processes and qualities. Not only CAN a constitutional Republic have democratic processes and values, the one you reside under DOES.
The inadherence to these democratic values is therefore Unconstitutional.
🇪🇺 The EU just passed Chat Control 1.0 in Brussels.
Platforms can now scan your private messages again, officially "voluntary," in practice blanket surveillance.
Here's the democratic scandal: 314 MEPs voted against it. Only 276 voted for it.
It passed anyway... because an absolute majority of all MEPs was required to reject it, not just a majority of those present.
More people voted no than yes. It still passed.
Pushed through on an urgent procedure just before summer recess, when absences are highest and attention is lowest.
This is how rights disappear folks. Not in one dramatic moment, but in procedural fine print, on a slow news day, while everyone's looking at Tehran.

@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp When you value the lives of 1,250 enough to call their killing a genocide, without even 1% of the evidence there is against Israel, more than the 200,000+ Palestinians, and COUNTING, you out yourself as lacking in empathy.
I will focus on ongoing human suffering, you do you.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp You have avoided the issue of Palestine at every turn, I know just how much you value human life.
I am not a Turk, either.
And I value every human life, I am simply pointing out your blatant hypocrisy. You only care about life when it is convenient to you.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp 😂😂😂 Yeah sure, 8,750 people is a genocide, but im sure youdont consider the 200,000 Palestinians murdered as a genocide. Ingrate.
Also most of these are not even considered genocides by even the most biased people, whose ass did you pull this neat little picture from?
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp Not to mention listing the same damn flag multiple times especially even conflicts that were one or two years apart? Should we consider each year of Germany's genocide against the Jews as a separate instance of genocide?
No one is tricking you but yourself.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp The Cyprus problem is thanks to all sides, but to refuse to attribute any blame on the Greece annexation attempt and the UK's deliberate actions to pit the two sides against one another goes to show you are not educated enough on the matter.
I am, and I have skin in the game.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp To list Cyprus as a massacre on Turkey's part is so unfathomably ignorant, as a Turkish Cypriot I have grown used to it; since we are under an embargo our interests are never considered by the likes of you.
Lest it be forgotten, Cyprus was fine before UK interference.
@FightLymeNow@Sonsuz_190381@Young_Turk_Cyp You do realise that Cyprus was under Venetian rule at the time? As in, it was a colony?
In fact, Ottomans coming into the island restored their religious freedoms, and Greek Orthodoxy came back instead of the forced Catholicism.
@MargolinRabbi@sterntaler22@vonderleyen@NATO Genocidal maniac. Your opinions mean nothing. I do not expect you to understand when a group of oppressed people actually get defended and live a normal life. I bet you would have Turkish Cypriots be treated like the way you condone Palestinians be treated.
Disgraceful.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp They benefit from having a presence on the island, of course, but their actions defended me and my family, alongside Many, many people who were under threat by terrorist groups and annexation and ethnic cleansing.
@AndyGoodman16@Young_Turk_Cyp Turkey entered the island as a guarantor upon the violation of the guarantorship agreement by Greece when they attempted the annexation of the island.
Turkey remained to protect Turkish Cypriots and prevent another attempt at ethnic cleansing.
