ScribbleBots…telling students, “Here’s the supplies. Here’s how to make a circuit. Try and figure out how to make it work!” After 25 minutes of no one figuring it out…I was questioning my choice of activity. Time is all they needed…they all figured it out and were so excited!
So proud of these kids and their script writing, acting, recording and editing abilities with the help of Mr. Honan for the 90-Second Newbery! Watch the video and read author James Kennedy’s critique! @stephbutler585@JHonan19 https://t.co/PvM2vmdZt5
The January Makerspace activity focused on creating mazes/obstacles for bots to navigate through. Lots of problem solving and perseverance! @stephbutler585@DrCBRichards
Wednesday’s Mystery Reader: Ms Frizzle from the Magic School Bus! She read about volcanoes. Since power in natural disasters can be an issue, students made LED flashlights with a LED light, battery, tin foil and an index card! @WestIrondequoit@MFlood270#remotelearning

Today my 4th grade remote class “traveled” to Ely, MN to learn about wolves at the International Wolf Center! An amazing presentation, great live video and such thoughtful questions from students. @MFlood270@WestIrondequoit#learningcoolthingsremotley
