A new British musical by @RhysJenn & @MusicDJC and directed by @charliewestenra. Original story by Ursula Wills-Jones. Premiered at @WatermillTh 2020 + 2022
Deeply saddened to hear about the loss of this beautiful human, Julian Forsyth over the weekend. What a phenomenal talent he was; wise, kind, witty and generous. He will forever be our Old Basketmaker….
Here he is in 2022 at The Watermill Theatre, singing What Have They Done to My Children. He broke my heart every single time I heard him sing it. Farewell, Julian. You will always be Part of the Weave.
RIP ♥️
We are extremely saddened by the news that Julian Forsyth has passed away. Julian played The Old Basketmaker in our 2022 production of The Wicker Husband.
It's difficult to overstate how much we all loved working with Julian on this production. He was a consummate professional, a kind, gentle company member and a wonderful actor. He had a magical quality.
All of us at the Watermill send our condolences to his family and all who knew him.

My Wicker Man has been selected for the @ABRSM Grade 8 Singing for Musical Theatre syllabus. It’s wonderful to see so many fellow new UK musicals recognised alongside old favourites. Here is My Wicker Man, as performed by Alex Young:

So, with all the recent announcements of new shows for London and the West End, who does one have to harass to get @WickerMusical down here? I would LOVE to see this on the west end. Theatre gods, PLEASSSE could we make this happen. #ThoughtForTheDay#theatre
