I used to fly to a sunny beach and read books for 2 weeks each summer. Then I realised I could read the books at home and not have to tramp through 2 airports. Sorry Heathrow, you've lost my trade because you make the experience horrible. And home is really nice.
All my gym-going/marathon running friends are having operations to fix torn ligaments and busted knees. I'm fast approaching middle age, not too fat really, and I sit on my sofa every night eating biscuits. Never been to a hospital in my life. Not once.
What a privilege it is to carry heavy grocery bags, to have laundry to do, to sleep in freshly changed sheets, and to eat your favorite meal. What a privilege it is to laugh, to love, to be cared for, and to begin again.
Itโs a gentle reminder that a meaningful life isnโt built only on big milestones, but on the small, often overlooked moments that quietly sustain us.
Have today finished reading The Other Bennett Sister, loved it ๐ As with all adaptations there is So Much More in the book than the series, but will still highly recommend both
