@Tundru_DireWolf Ah, just be careful.
A lot of non-union shops are not friendly to unions. Some of them, both management and employees can see union membership as a threat on their livelihood.
So, they husband and I are trying to arrange a trip to Europe this year. Likely near Belgium, western part of Germany, north France, the Netherlands... that kind of area.
Know any good breweries worth visiting, or things worth doing? :)
@ChinookTheWolf Precisely. Because I'll max out QPP, Ei, etc they'll take out the maximum contribution rate. Plus my work just applies the maximum possible income tax rate to be "safe".
I know it means I'll pay less tax throughout the rest of the year, but still, ow
Can I at least get a doc?
@ChinookTheWolf Bonuses get taxed a bit heavier earlier in the year, especially in Québec. QPP takes a lot, QPIP, EI at maximum rates. And they tax income at well over 50% for some reason.
It does mean I'll likely get a refund next year. But still!
A bit of Thursday night drinking as a good-bye as another interesting person quits my place of employment. That makes 3 in the last 4 months!
Tomorrow is another day filled with useless meetings to! Wish me luck, or ama xD.
