@Corey89246043@elitetakes_ Philly was great. Stayed downtown, short walk (8-10 minutes) to Reading Terminal Market for tons of food choices from vendors. Subway entrance on same block as hotel, straight to stadium and straight back after match. Was a perfect, smooth weekend trip.
@cturiano1969@washghost1 I used to be nice when my building (8 units) had elderly and a couple vets living in it, I'd plow our entire side clean after moving their cars or asking them to move. That stopped after they died/moved...Koreans and Indians moved in. They didn't move and take my spots I plowed.
@slacopp @financedystop In one year he will finish 12 or more. Only one or 2 crews doing work on all the sites at a time. Each home still takes months to build. Not start to finish in 4 weeks.
@slacopp @financedystop Each home takes months. For simplicity...1 crew digs foundation and pours it, then on to next house. Next crew lays block, then moves to next house. New crew does framing. etc etc. Like assembly line. The builder has over a dozen houses in various states of construction.
@slacopp @financedystop 2. But they use only a single crew for each aspect. If you're a larger builder, you can have multiple homes in the same state of construction. But it's harder to maintain the same high quality the larger you get. More crews, more chance to not maintain quality.
@slacopp @financedystop 1. I don't think you understand, each custom home takes months to build, but staggering ground breaking a month apart allows each crew to move to the next property when they finish their specific aspect of the build. Most other custom builders do 5-8 a year in my area.
@slacopp @financedystop Rural area, not in town and over the years you get to know the inspectors. Can easily call or text and tell them when properties will have plumbing and electrical done. They are pretty quick with a few days notice.
@slacopp @financedystop Multiple specialized crews. Doesn't take a month for each crew to frame a house, roof it, wire it, plumb it, drywall it, trim it out and paint it. After framers are done, they move on to the next house, etc. Depending on size & customization 5-9 months is typical.
