Beware the empathy exploit.

Empathy is good and right when thought through (deep), but can be deadly to civilization when simply stimulus-response (shallow).

For example, releasing a repeat violent offender may feel good at first (shallow empathy for the criminal), but it is wrong to do so when that person will go on to hurt or murder innocent victims, as there should be deep empathy for future victims.

When Ireland joined the EEC in 1973, it inserted Article 29.4.3°–10° into Bunreacht na hÉireann.

ECJ SUPREMACY - The Trap Nobody Talks About

Here’s a fact most people in Ériú don’t realise:

Even if we held a referendum tomorrow and voted to REPEAL an EU rule… the EU Court of Justice would STILL claim supremacy over us in that area.

Why?
Because the ECJ invented a doctrine that says:

EU law outranks every national law, even a Constitution, in any area the Treaties cover.

Ireland never explicitly agreed to this.
No referendum ever said “The EU may override the Irish Constitution.”

The ECJ just declared supremacy in cases like:

Costa v ENEL (1964)

Handelsgesellschaft (1970)

Simmenthal (1978)

And once a Member State signs a Treaty, the ECJ says it is permanent and absolute in those areas.

So even if the Irish people said NO to:

EU migration policies

EU climate rules

EU digital ID

EU data sharing (EHDS)

EU emergency health powers (HERA)

…the ECJ would still claim the final say because the Treaties were already signed.

This directly contradicts Article 1 of the Irish Constitution, which says:

Sovereignty is inalienable.

And “inalienable” means:

You cannot give it away.

Not by referendum.

Not by treaty.

Not even temporarily.

So here is the truth:

The Constitution says sovereignty stays with the Irish people.
The ECJ says sovereignty stays with the EU wherever the Treaties apply.

Both cannot be true.

And unless people understand this, we can’t have a real conversation about:

EU membership

the digital transition

migration

climate regulation

or anything else coming down the line.

If Ireland ever wanted to reclaim full control over ANY EU policy area, it wouldn’t be enough to amend the Constitution.

We would have to repeal Article 29.4 (the EU Treaty clause) or renegotiate/exit the relevant Treaties.

That’s the legal reality almost nobody is being told.

Sovereignty is ours, but only if we know it and assert it.

Ireland used to be heaven on earth ; No dangerous wildlife, beautiful landscapes, predictable climate, low crime and a very high-trust society based on Catholic values.

But now it's full of data centers, windmills, foreign tech workers and over a million strangers from Africa and Asia who want to make Ireland into the places they left while screaming about racism.

We're losing the natural beauty of the island, crime is through the roof, our culture is disappearing and we now live in an extremely low-trust society where what's best for Irish people is often the last consideration.

This cannot continue.

We want our country back.
