@LFCLaurie Disagree. There’s solidity in midfield but there’s no width and we would be so dependent on our fullbacks. It would be easy for teams to figure us out in no time. The little changes i’d make to our lineup was Chiesa for Gakpo, Bradley for Frimpong & we would have been firing.

If we’re being honest, Florian Wirtz has really been underwhelming and you could tell by the unwillingness and hesitation from his teammates to play him the ball. I’d opt that we stick to our midfield 3 of last season then ease him in a bit once balance & rhythm is regained.

@Mobyhaque1 The truth is that F.Wirtz is very low in confidence at the moment and does very little and losses the ball easily when in possession. Van Dijk and Szobo were hesitant to pass the ball to him. Would opt that we switched back to our previous midfield setup till rhythm is gained.

@KayLFC05_ Szobo at Rb? I get playing him at RB when neither Frimpong nor Bradley is injured but constantly playing them off position destabilizes d rhythm of the team. Thats also the reason we haven’t seen the best of Frimpong yet as he hardly starts. Slot needs to fix up with his best 11.

@SamueILFC The criticisms are valid. Yes, it is a different team & system but he should be more involved and trying to make things happen. Very disappointing how often he easily gives the ball away. Would love for Slot to grow some balls and take him off for Chiesa if the stinkers continue

@Corballyred Which often leaves him isolated. In as much as Szobo’s off-ball contributions are massively appreciated, still feel Mac allister compliments him well. He is press resistant, has better awareness which will be crucial in us effectively playing out from the back.

@Corballyred We’ve hardly maintained complete dominance of midfield in the last two games. That’s due to Gravy & Mac missing out in either games. Wirtz definitely has some adapting to do but his inefficiency is largely down to the inability of his team mates to pick him out in tight spaces.

@VictorWolf2099 @false9ii He wanted an improved contract but the club felt he didn’t deserve a substantial raise. That’s the reason he left. It is only the bundesliga but he is a massive loss; there’s no denying that our attack would have been more fluid & lethal had we kept him. Gakpo is really not it.

@false9ii I honestly can’t seem to justify Luis Diaz Sale. Bar Salah, he is our most lethal attacker and his work ethic are very admirable. I thought the reason he was sold was to make way for a more similarly skilled and younger attacker like Rodrigo but that seems very unlikely. Salah
